Ruth Ellen Brosseau (born April 26, 1984) is a Canadian politician who represented the riding of Berthier—Maskinongé in the House of Commons from the 2011 federal election until her defeat in 2019. She is a member of the New Democratic Party (NDP). In Brosseau's first election campaign, she gained national attention for her surprising rise from a "paper candidate" to a viable contestant; she also gained the nickname "Vegas Girl" for a mid-election vacation to Las Vegas. She won reelection in the 2015 federal election with a larger vote share despite her party falling from second to third place nationally. Her parliamentary roles included House Leader of the NDP, critic for Agriculture and Agri-Food and deputy NDP caucus chair. Michael Dillon Brosseau (born March 15, 1994) is an American professional baseball infielder for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2019 for the Tampa Bay Rays, and was traded to the Brewers after the 2021 season. Thomas Anderson Brosseau is an American musical storyteller and guitarist, born and raised in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States. He was awarded Key to the City of Grand Forks by mayor Michael R. Brown in 2007, in part due to his original album of music, ''Grand Forks'', which was dedicated to the people along the Red River of the North who lived through the 1997 Red River flood. Brosseau, Alberta
Brosseau () is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within the County of Two Hills No. 21. It is located on the north bank of the North Saskatchewan River along the Highway 29 / Highway 36 concurrency, southwest of St. Paul. The hamlet of Duvernay is located immediately across the river along the south bank. The hamlet has the name of Edmond Brosseau, an early settler. Before Brosseau existed, a previous settlement had been created on the same site. Founded by Father Lacombe as ''Saint-Paul-des-Cris'', it was a Catholic mission to the Cree which was established in 1865 and abandoned in 1874 due to Cree reluctance to adopt an agricultural lifestyle and several crop failures. Lacombe would try again nearby in 1896 with a new settlement called Saint-Paul-des-Métis, which also struggled until it was opened to white Francophones in 1909. Gerald Brosseau Gardner (13 June 1884 – 12 February 1964), also known by the craft name Scire, was an English Wiccan, as well as an author and an amateur anthropologist and archaeologist. He was instrumental in bringing the Contemporary Pagan religion of Wicca to public attention, writing some of its definitive religious texts and founding the tradition of Gardnerian Wicca.
