Brooklin Novo
Brooklin Novo (Portuguese for ''"New Brooklyn"'') is a neighborhood in São Paulo, Brazil. It is delimited by Bandeirantes Avenue, Marginal Pinheiros, and Santo Amaro Avenue in the Itaim Bibi District of the city. It is bordered by the neighborhoods of Brooklin Velho, Vila Olímpia, Moema, Vila Cordeiro, and the district of Morumbi. History Given its proximity to the neighborhood of Vila Olimpia, the neighborhood essentially has the same history, because both were created and developed at the same time. It lies in the floodplain of the Rio Pinheiros, which historically inundated the region. In 1941, the Paulista Equestrian Society, an important sporting institution in the country, was established. Years later, the area became residential houses and townhouses for middle-class families. Octávio Frias De Oliveira Bridge
The Octavio Frias de Oliveira bridge, commonly known as ''"Ponte Estaiada"'', is a cable-stayed bridge in São Paulo, Brazil over the Pinheiros River, opened in May 2008. Bandeirantes Avenue
Bandeirantes Avenue (in Portuguese: ''Avenida dos Bandeirantes'' - ''see Bandeirantes)'' is one of the most important avenues of São Paulo, serving as one of the main access roads to the Congonhas Airport, as well as a link between Marginal Pinheiros highway and Rodovia Anchieta and Rodovia dos Imigrantes. The avenue had large truck traffic due to the export flow flowing through the Port of Santos, however, after August 2010, the movement of such vehicles on the road was restricted to the nighttime due to the conclusion of the south section of the Rodoanel Mário Covas (see below). The avenue also serves as the southern boundary of the area known as the "expanded central zone." Bandeirantes Avenue originally was called Estrada da Traição ("Betrayal Road"). The Pinheiros River ( pt, Rio Pinheiros) is a most rectified inverted polluted water original sinuous course, today tributary of the Tietê River that runs through the city of São Paulo, Brazil.
