Craig Bromell (born 1959 in Oshawa) is a Canadians, Canadian radio personality and former police officer. Prior to his broadcast career, Bromell served as president of the Toronto Police Association from 1997 to 2003. In that position, he was often at odds with the two chiefs of police during his tenure, Julian Fantino and David Boothby. Previous to becoming TPA president, Bromell led a wildcat strike of officers in 51 Division. In 1996, Thomas Kerr, a homeless man, claimed that he was beaten up by nine police officers, including Bromell, in retaliation for breaking another police officer's arm in a previous encounter. A settlement was made before Bromell, now head of the Toronto Police Union, was scheduled to testify and would be subject to questioning about the event in question. The internal investigator's testimony stated that police claimed that they had never picked up Kerr. Alfred Henry Bromell (September 19, 1947 – March 18, 2013) was an American novelist, screenwriter, and director. Career Bromell joined the crew of NBC police drama '' Homicide: Life on the Street'' in 1994. He served as a writer and co-executive producer for the show's third season. He contributed to writing seven episodes for the season. He was promoted to executive producer for the fourth season and wrote a further 17 episodes. He scaled back his involvement with the fifth season and became a consulting producer. He wrote a further two episodes before leaving the crew at the end of the season in 1997. He contributed to a total of 26 episodes as a writer over three seasons with the series. Tony Bromell
Tony Bromell (1932 – 3 January 2017) was an educationist and Fianna Fáil politician from Limerick in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Born in Limerick in 1932, Bromell been a member of Fianna Fáil all his life, and was a member of Limerick City Council for 17 years, serving as Mayor of Limerick from 1982 to 1983. He was also briefly a Seanad Éireann, senator, after winning a by-election to the 18th Seanad for the Industrial and Commercial Panel on 19 December 1988, following the death of Fine Gael senator Jack Daly (politician), Jack Daly. Bromell was registrar in Mary Immaculate College from 1967 until he retired in 1998.
