''Broken'' is a 2013 Nigerian drama film written, produced and directed by Bright Wonder Obasi, starring Nse Ikpe Etim, Bimbo Manuel and Kalu Ikeagwu. It received six nominations at the 2013 Nollywood Movies Awards including awards for ''Best lead actor, Best Supporting actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Make-up and Best Rising star Female''. Plot The film starts with Samuel Gabriel (Iyke Adiele) falling into the trap of Police-men while trying to sell hard drugs. He tried escaping but was ambushed by several of them. His interrogation at the police station was aborted when the interrogating officer was being blackmailed by his guardian for violating his fundamental human rights some years ago as a minor, After his release he was informed that his sister Emmanuella (Tehilia Adiele) was alive but with a mental condition and asthma. Nse Ikpe Etim
Nse Ikpe-Etim (born 21 October 1974) is a Nigerian actress. She came into prominence in 2008 for her role in ''Reloaded''. She was nominated for ''Best Actress in a Leading Role'' at the 5th and 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in '' Reloaded'' and '' Mr. and Mrs.,'' respectively. In 2014, she won the ''Best Actress in a Drama'' award at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards for playing "Nse" in '' Journey to Self''. She made mention of not being ashamed of her inability to get pregnant. Early life Etim was born on 21 October 1974 in Lagos. Kalu Ikeagwu
Kalu Egbui Ikeagwu is a British-Nigerian actor and writer. As an actor, he has received several awards and nominations for his performances on screen. Early life Kalu was born in England but was relocated to Nigeria by his dad at the age of 9 due to fears from his parents that he might abandon his Igbo roots. He had his primary education in England and Zambia before proceeding to University of Nigeria to get a degree in English. Career Ikeagwu's first appearance on screen was in 2005 in the popular ''Domino'' TV series. His first stage performance was in ''Put Out The Houselights'' by Esiaba Ironsi. The Nolly Awards, formerly the Nollywood Movies Awards, is an annual Nigerian film award presented by the Nollywood Movies TV to honour outstanding achievement in the Nigerian film industry.
