Broadgate
Broadgate is a large, office and retail estate in the Bishopsgate Without area of the City of London. It is owned by British Land and GIC and managed by Savills. The estate is in part of the eastern City fringe, outside the line of the now lost defensive walls, and east of the former Moorfields; a part of the city that is often described as part of the East End of London. The original developer was Rosehaugh: it was built by a Bovis / Tarmac Construction joint venture and was the largest office development in London until the arrival of Canary Wharf in the early 1990s. The original scheme was designed by Arup Associates, Team 2, which was headed by Peter Foggo, who later left Arup to set up his own practice Peter Foggo Associates, where he completed the initial phase of works. Broadgate, East Riding Of Yorkshire
Broadgate is a housing estate close to the village of Walkington, England. It is situated approximately to the south-west of the market town of Beverley and lies on the B1230 road. Broadgate forms part of the civil parish of Walkington. Broadgate was the location of the Broadgate Hospital. The land the hospital was built upon was sold by nearby Broadgate Farm, the farm buildings are now converted into a small complex of luxury holiday cottages. After the hospital had been demolished, the former hospital site was redeveloped by Bryant Homes Bryant Homes was one of the larger UK housebuilders when it was acquired by Taylor Woodrow in 2001; Bryant then became the principal housebuilding operation of the enlarged group. Exeter
Exeter () is a city in Devon, South West England. It is situated on the River Exe, approximately northeast of Plymouth and southwest of Bristol. In Roman Britain, Exeter was established as the base of Legio II Augusta under the personal command of Vespasian. Exeter became a religious centre in the Middle Ages. Exeter Cathedral, founded in the mid 11th century, became Anglican in the 16th-century English Reformation. Exeter became an affluent centre for the wool trade, although by the First World War the city was in decline. Beeston, Nottinghamshire
Beeston is a town in the Borough of Broxtowe, Nottinghamshire, England, south-west of Nottingham city centre. To its north-east is the University of Nottingham's main campus, University Park. The pharmaceutical and retail chemist group Boots has its headquarters east of the centre of Beeston, on the border with Broxtowe and the City of Nottingham. To the south lie the River Trent and the village of Attenborough, with extensive wetlands. Origins of the name The earliest name of the settlement was ''Bestune'', recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. The name derives from the Old English words ''bēos'' (bent-grass) and ''tūn'' (farmstead, settlement). Although the idea that the name derives from the Old English ''bēo'' (bee) is popular locally, this is impossible as the plural form of ''bēo'' would be ''bēon'', resulting in an "n" to historical spellings of the name. Broadgate Park
Broadgate Park is a self-catered hall of residence at the University of Nottingham, accommodating under-graduate and post-graduate students. Housing about 2400 students and containing 2,223 rooms, it is one of the largest student villages in Europe. It is located outside of the West Entrance of the University Park campus. It is owned and maintained by University Partnerships Programme. The warden is Dr Anna Pelekanou. Block names The majority of blocks in Broadgate Park have botanical names such as those of various trees or flowers.
