Besart Berisha
Besart Berisha (born 29 July 1985) is a Kosovan retired professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career Youth and Hamburger SV Berisha began his youth career at German side Berliner VB 49 academies at age of 9. He then moved to various German teams, such as Berliner FC Dynamo, TSV Lichtenberg, SV Lichtenberg 47 until 2003, when he moved to NOFV-Oberliga club Tennis Borussia Berlin, where a 17-year-old Berisha won the national youth league's golden boot, outclassing future Germany strikers, Mario Gomez and Lukas Podolski. He stayed for just a year before being spotted by Bundesliga club Hamburger SV. Translink Cup
The Translink Cup, also known as the Roar Against Racism Trophy, was an Australian association football invitational trophy contested in an annual charity friendly match hosted by Brisbane Roar of the A-League. It was held at Suncorp Stadium, and was often used as a pre-season match for both teams to warm them up for the regular season. The friendly also served to promote the decline of racism on the football pitch. All proceeds from the match went to the anti-racism charity Kick It Out; a donation was also made by TransLink, who sponsored and had naming rights to the cup. Competition The competition was little known for the first 2 years of format with Queensland Roar booking under-rated overseas teams such as Supersport United with the game pulling only just over 12,000 fans into Suncorp Stadium. Adelaide United Football Club is a professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. 2011–12 Brisbane Roar FC Season
The 2011–12 season is Brisbane Roar's seventh season in the A-League. Brisbane successfully defended their Championship by defeating Perth Glory 2–1 in front of 50,344, but relinquished the Premiership to Central Coast Mariners, who ended the regular season 2 points ahead of the Roar, with the result going to down to the last day of the regular season. They will compete in the 2012 Asian Champions League, for finishing the regular season first. On 2 August 2011, the club confirmed they would be supplied with kits and training gear by German multinational apparel company Puma. 2005 Australian Club World Championship Qualifying Tournament
The 2005 Australian Club World Championship Qualifying Tournament was as association football knock-out competition to determine the Australian entrant into the 2005 OFC Club Championship. The tournament consisted of seven teams, being the teams competing in the inaugural A-League season in 2005–06, with the exception of New Zealand Knights. A standalone tournament was necessary to determine to determine Australia's Oceania Club Championship entrant for the year as there had yet to be any competitive matches for the new A-League clubs. It was to be a one-off competition, with Australia joining the Asian Football Confederation from 2006 onwards, and future continental qualification places determined by teams' performances in the A-League. A-League Pre-Season Challenge Cup
The A-League Pre-Season Challenge Cup competition was an annual soccer tournament held for all A-League clubs in July and August in the lead up to the start of the A-League season. The competition featured a group stage and a knockout stage. Commentators did not give much weight to the competition as a guide for performance during the season proper, as injuries or club strategic policy ruled that many teams did not use their best players and often used experimental tactics. Erik Endel Paartalu (born 3 May 1986) is an Australian professional footballer of Estonian descent who plays as a defensive midfielder.
