Brian Dawson (football Coach)
Brian Dawson (born 31 October 1958) is an Australian rules football coach and academic. He is coach of in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and is a Winthrop Professor at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Playing career Dawson joined in 1975, initially playing in the colts team. In 1977 he played the first of six league matches for Swan Districts, later playing seven league matches for . He also played a total of eight seasons and 134 matches with Osborne Park in the Sunday Football League. Coaching career Between 1988 and 2000 Dawson was fitness coach for the West Coast Eagles. He was made a life member by the club in 2007. Dawson was head coach of between 2008 and 2010, winning the West Australian Football League (WAFL) premiership in 2010. He resigned as Swans coach after the end of the 2010 WAFL season when work commitments in Japan prevented him from committing to full-time coaching in 2011. This is a list of the West Australian Football League premiers, the premier state-based Australian rules football league in Western Australia, and includes premiers of the Western Australian Football Association (1885–1906), Western Australian National Football League (1931–1979), WA State League (1990) and Westar Rules (1997–2000). John Todd (footballer)
John Herbert Todd (born 21 May 1938) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian National Football League (WANFL). Todd won the Sandover Medal in his debut season at just 17 years of age, but his playing career was cut short by a serious knee injury in his second season. While still a player, Todd embarked on a coaching career that spanned over 700 games and lasted over four decades. He became only the second coach to guide three WAFL clubs (, South Fremantle and ) to premierships, and led to its first finals appearance in 1988. Todd is an inaugural Legend of the West Australian Football Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Coaches section of the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2003. The 2014 WAFL season was the 130th season of the various incarnations of the West Australian Football League (WAFL). The season began on 22 March 2014 and concluded on 21 September 2014 with the 2014 WAFL Grand Final. Tony Micale
Anthony Claude "Tony" Micale (born 22 November 1948) is an Australian rules football coach and former player. He is the current coach of the East Perth Football Club. Micale played for the South Fremantle and East Fremantle Football Clubs in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and later took up coaching. He also occasionally works as a special comments radio commentator for football matches broadcast on 6PR. Career After playing 16 games for in the WAFL between 1967 and 1970, Micale moved to where he played from 1973 to 1976 and again in 1978, playing in the side's premiership victory in 1974. Micale coached from 1997 to 1998, including the side's premiership win in 1998. He coached to a grand final in 1999 before being recruited by , which he took to three consecutive premierships, in 2000, 2001 and 2002. West Coast Eagles
The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League. The club plays its home games at Perth Stadium and has its headquarters at Lathlain Park.
