Yugoslavia was present at the Eurovision Song Contest 1966, held in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. Before Eurovision ''Jugovizija 1966'' The Yugoslav national final to select their entry, was held on 23 January at the Dom Sindikata in Belgrade. The host was Mića Orlović. There were 13 songs in the final, from the five subnational public broadcasters; RTV Ljubljana, RTV Zagreb, RTV Belgrade, RTV Sarajevo, and RTV Skopje. The winner was chosen by the votes of an eight-member jury of experts, one juror for each of the six republics and the two autonomous provinces. The winning entry was "Brez besed" performed by Slovene singer Berta Ambrož, composed by Mojmir Sepe and written by Elza Budau. Jugovizija, Cyrillic: Југовизија, English: Yugovision, was the Yugoslav national final to select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, organized by the Yugoslav broadcaster Yugoslav Radio Television (JRT) and its subnational public broadcasting centers based in the capitals of each of the constituent republics of the Yugoslav federation: SR Bosnia and Herzegovina ( RTV Sarajevo), SR Croatia ( RTV Zagreb and RTV Split), SR Macedonia ( RTV Skopje), SR Montenegro ( RTV Titograd), SR Serbia ( RTV Belgrade) and SR Slovenia ( RTV Ljubljana) and also the broadcasting services of the autonomous provinces within SR Serbia: SAP Kosovo ( RTV Prishtina) and SAP Vojvodina ( RTV Novi Sad). Yugoslavia In The Eurovision Song Contest
Yugoslavia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 27 times, debuting in 1961 and competing every year until its last appearance in 1992, with the exceptions of 1977–1980 and 1985. Yugoslavia won the 1989 contest and hosted the contest. Ljiljana Petrović was Yugoslavia's first entrant in the contest in and placed eighth. In , Lola Novaković gave the country its first top five result, finishing fourth. This would remain Yugoslavia's only top five result until , when Danijel finished fourth with the song "Džuli". Đorđe Marjanović
Đorđe Marjanović ( sr-Cyr, Ђорђе Марјановић; 30 October 1931 – 15 May 2021) was a Serbian and Yugoslav singer. Marjanović began his career in the mid-1950s, rising to fame in the late 1950s with his theatrical on-stage performance. During the 1960s he recorded a large number of hit songs and became the first superstar of the Yugoslav popular music, but also achieved large popularity in the Soviet Union. Due to his on-stage performance and inclusion of foreign rock and roll hits into his repertoire, Marjanović was often described as one of the pioneers of the Yugoslav rock scene. During the 1970s and 1980s he managed to maintain a loyal fanbase. In 1990, he suffered a stroke on stage, from which he partially recovered, but decided to retire from the scene. Gabrijela "Gabi" Novak (; born 8 July 1936) is a Croatian pop and jazz singer. A wife of the prominent Croatian singer-songwriter Arsen Dedić, whom she married in 1973, Novak became popular in the 1960s. Zdenka Vučković ( June 20 Zagreb, 1942 - 7 March 2020) was a Croatian popular music singer with over 60 years of career. Her popularity peaked during 1960s, when she was a teenagers' pop star. Vinko "Vice" Vukov (3 August 1936 – 24 September 2008) was a Croatian singer and politician. Biography Vukov was born in Šibenik. In 1959, he achieved instant fame by winning the Opatija Music Festival in his singing debut, with the song "Mirno teku rijeke" (). During the 1960s, he was one of the most popular singers in Yugoslavia, appearing at the Eurovision Song Contest 1963 with the song " Brodovi" () and at the Eurovision Song Contest 1965 with the song " Čežnja" ().
