Brett O'Farrell (rugby League)
Brett O'Farrell (born 23 March 1980) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He played for the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League (NRL) from 1999 to 2001. Early life Played junior rugby league with Collegians Dragons before moving to the Warwick Cowboys, representing Queensland schoolboys at the 1997 national carnival. Playing career Moving to Brisbane, O'Farrell played with Norths Devils and was a member of the Devils' 1998 Queensland Cup Colts premiership. O'Farrell represented Australia in 1998 and 1999 playing for the Junior Kangaroos against the Junior Kiwis. O'Farrell made his NRL debut for Melbourne Storm in round 14 of the 1999 NRL season, playing a total of 20 games for Melbourne. After being released by Melbourne at the end of the 2001 NRL season, O'Farrell played reserve grade for South Sydney Rabbitohs, later playing for the Pia Donkeys before retiring. Brisbane Lions
The Brisbane Lions is a professional Australian rules football club based in Brisbane, Queensland, that plays in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club was formed in late 1996 via a merger of the Melbourne-based 1883 foundation VFL club the Fitzroy Lions, and the 1987 Queensland based expansion club the Brisbane Bears, with the colours of maroon, blue, and gold being drawn from both parent clubs. The Lions are one of the most successful AFL club of the 2000s, appearing in four consecutive Grand Finals from 2001 to 2004 and winning three premierships ( 2001, 2002, 2003). The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League. The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Parramatta Stadium (formerly Cumberland Oval). New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand Warriors are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership and is the League's only team from outside Australia. They were formed in 1995 as the Auckland Warriors, and are officially known as the One New Zealand Warriors for sponsorship reasons. The Warriors are coached by Andrew Webster and captained by Tohu Harris. The Warriors are based at Mount Smart Stadium in the Auckland suburb of Penrose. For the 1995 season the newly formed Auckland Warriors became the first club from outside Australia to be admitted to the Australian Rugby League's premiership when it expanded from 16 to 20 teams. The Baroudeurs de Pia XIII, later known as the Pia Donkeys, are a French Rugby league team based in Pia, Pyrénées-Orientales in the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
