Brendan O'Connor (politician)
Brendan Patrick O'Connor (born 2 March 1962) is an Australian politician who has served as Minister for Skills and Training since 2022. He is a member of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) and has served in the House of Representatives since 2001. He held ministerial office in the governments of Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard from 2007 to 2013, including as a member of cabinet from 2012 to 2013. He was a member of the shadow cabinet from 2013 to 2022. Early life O'Connor was born on 2 March 1962 in London, England. He is the son of Michael and Philomena O'Connor. His parents were both born in Ireland, his mother in Thurles and his father in Tralee. O'Connor was born with both Irish and British citizenship, renouncing the latter in the early 1980s. Robert McClelland (Australian Politician)
Robert Bruce McClelland (born 26 January 1958) is an Australian judge and former politician who has served on the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia since 2015, including as Deputy Chief Justice of that court since 2018. He was previously Attorney-General of Australia from 2007 to 2011, and a member of the House of Representatives from 1996 to 2013, representing the Labor Party. Neil Patrick O'Keefe (born 7 May 1947) is a retired Australian politician and lobbyist. Born in Melbourne, he was educated at La Trobe University and then Monash University before becoming a teacher, union official and small business proprietor. The Division of Burke was an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria. The division was created in 1969 and abolished in 2004. The division was named after Robert O'Hara Burke, an explorer who led the Victorian expedition in 1860, the first to cross Australia from south to north. It was located in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne, including Broadmeadows and Thomastown, but later extended into rural areas including Bacchus Marsh, Gisborne and Sunbury. Kim John Carr (born 2 July 1955) is an Australian former politician who served as a Senator for Victoria between 1993 and 2022. Representing the Labor Party, he was a minister in the Rudd and Gillard Governments. Carr is a graduate of the University of Melbourne, and before entering politics worked as a schoolteacher and political staffer. He was appointed to the Senate in 1993, filling a casual vacancy, and was made a member of the shadow ministry after Labor's defeat at the 1996 election.
