The American Rock music, rock band Breaking Benjamin has released six studio albums, two compilation albums, three extended plays, 23 Single (music), singles and 17 music videos. The group has sold over nineteen million units in the United States alone, with three platinum records, two gold records, three multi-platinum singles, three platinum singles, and six gold singles as designated by the Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA. The band signed with Hollywood Records in 2002 following the success of their independently released Breaking Benjamin (EP), eponymous EP, and began recording their first full-length major-label debut ''Saturate (Breaking Benjamin album), Saturate'' shortly thereafter. The record peaked at number two on the US Top Heatseekers chart and number 136 on the US Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. It was eventually certified gold in 2015. Breaking Benjamin is an American Rock music, rock band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, formed in 1999 by lead singer and guitarist Benjamin Burnley and drummer Jeremy Hummel. The first lineup of the band also included guitarist Aaron Fink and bassist Mark Klepaski. This lineup released two albums, ''Saturate (Breaking Benjamin album), Saturate'' (2002) and ''We Are Not Alone (Breaking Benjamin album), We Are Not Alone'' (2004), before Hummel was replaced by Chad Szeliga in 2005. The band released two more studio albums, ''Phobia (Breaking Benjamin album), Phobia'' (2006) and ''Dear Agony'' (2009), before entering an extended hiatus in early 2010 due to Burnley's recurring illnesses. Amid the hiatus, the release of a compilation album, ''Shallow Bay: The Best of Breaking Benjamin'' (2011), unauthorized by Burnley, brought about legal trouble within the band resulting in the dismissal of Fink and Klepaski.
