Brave New World (Iron Maiden Album)
''Brave New World'' is the twelfth studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on 29 May 2000. It was their first studio release since the return of longtime lead singer Bruce Dickinson (who left in 1993) and guitarist Adrian Smith (who left in 1990) in 1999, as well as the band's first studio recording as a six-piece, as Janick Gers, who replaced Smith in 1990, remained with the band. The album artwork and title song are references to the novel of the same name written by Aldous Huxley. The upper half of the artwork was created by Derek Riggs, with the bottom half by digital artist Steve Stone. The songs "The Wicker Man" and "Out of the Silent Planet" were both released as singles. The promotional radio release of "The Wicker Man" featured extra vocals in the chorus not present in any other versions of the song. Iron Maiden
Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. While fluid in the early years of the band, the lineup for most of the band's history has consisted of Harris, lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson, drummer Nicko McBrain, and guitarists Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers. The band have released 41 albums, including 17 studio albums, 13 live albums, four EPs and seven compilations. They have also released 47 singles and 20 video albums. ''Rock in Rio'' is a recurring music festival originating in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It later branched into other locations such as Lisbon, Madrid and Las Vegas. The Book Of Souls World Tour
The Book of Souls World Tour was a concert tour by Iron Maiden, held in support of their sixteenth studio album, ''The Book of Souls''. During the first leg of the tour the band played shows in 36 countries across six continents, which included their debut performances in El Salvador, Lithuania and China. With 117 shows, it was the longest tour with Bruce Dickinson on vocals since the "Somewhere on Tour" in 1986–87. The group, their crew and equipment were transported on a customized Boeing 747-400, nicknamed "Ed Force One", which was piloted by vocalist Bruce Dickinson (the first time using the Boeing 747, replaced Boeing 757, which they used on some of their previous tours). The Final Frontier World Tour was a concert tour by Iron Maiden in support of the band's 15th album, ''The Final Frontier'', which began on 9 June 2010 in Dallas and ended in London, England on 6 August 2011. A Matter Of Life And Death Tour
A Matter of Life and Death and A Matter of the Beast were two concert tours by Iron Maiden from 2006 to 2007. The first tour was unique, as the set list primarily consisted of the band's most recent release, '' A Matter of Life and Death'', in its entirety, although this got a mixed response from audiences. Unusually, the first leg did not include " The Number of the Beast", a song which Iron Maiden had previously played on every tour since its inception. The Dance of Death World Tour was a concert tour by heavy metal band Iron Maiden in support of their thirteenth studio album, ''Dance of Death''. The group's eighth live record, ''Death on the Road'', was recorded in Dortmund. The tour was subject to a short number of cancellations, with the band's shows in Wrocław, Rotterdam and Helsinki being postponed while lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson recovered from flu and laryngitis. On top of this, the group's second show in New York was cut short after one audience member dropped a beer on the soundboard, while the final concert was cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. Blaze Bayley (born Bayley Alexander Cooke, 29 May 1963) is an English heavy metal singer. He was the lead singer of Wolfsbane from 1984 to 1994 (and currently since 2010, following reunions in 2007 and 2009). He was also the lead singer of Iron Maiden during Bruce Dickinson's absence from 1994 to 1999. Since then, he has pursued a solo career and has released ten studio albums.
