Bratske ( uk, Братське, russian: Бра́тское) is an urban-type settlement in Voznesensk Raion in the north of Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Bratske settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Bratske is located on the banks of the Mertvovid, a right tributary of the Southern Bug. History Bratske was founded by Zaporozhian Cossacks in the 18th century. Bratske Raion
Bratske Raion ( uk, Братський район) was a subdivision of Mykolaiv Oblast of Ukraine. Its administrative center was the urban-type settlement of Bratske. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Mykolaiv Oblast to four. The area of Bratske Raion was merged into Voznesensk Raion. Voznesensk Raion ( uk, Вознесенський район) is located in Mykolaiv Oblast of Ukraine. Its administrative center is the town of Voznesensk. Uyezd
An uezd (also spelled uyezd; rus, уе́зд, p=ʊˈjest), or povit in a Ukrainian context ( uk, повіт), or Kreis in Baltic-German context, was a type of administrative subdivision of the Grand Duchy of Moscow, the Russian Empire, and the early Russian SFSR, which was in use from the 13th century. Pomichna
Pomichna () is a city in Novoukrainka Raion, Kirovohrad Oblast (region) of Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Pomichna urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: History In 1775, after the liquidation of Zaporozhian Sich, the Cossacks, leaving the Cossack winter quarters, settled in the slobodas, turning into peasants. One of these liberties was the modern village of Pomichna. Near the fortress of St. Elizaveta was garrisoned by Zaporozhian Cossacks. An okruha ( uk, округа) is an historical administrative division of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic that existed between 1923 and 1930. The system was intended as a transitional system between the Russian Imperial division of governorates and the modern equivalent of oblasts.
