Bratislava Marathon
The Bratislava Marathon (also known as the Bratislava City Marathon, as well as the ČSOB Bratislava Marathon for sponsorship reasons), is an annual road-based marathon hosted by Bratislava, Slovakia. The current version of the marathon has been held since 2006, although the first marathon to be held regularly in Bratislava was inaugurated in 1932. The marathon is a World Athletics Label Road Race and a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). During the race weekend, a half marathon, a 10K run, a 4.2K run are also offered. Eurovea

Eurovea is a business, retail and residential complex in Bratislava, Slovakia, in the Pribinova Zone at the border of Old Town and the borough or Ružinov, between the Old Bridge and the Apollo Bridge, bordered by Pribinova street from the north and the river Danube from the south. Eurovea connects the Bratislava Riverfront with the city center and offers stores and leisure time facilities while housing businesses, apartments and a Sheraton hotel. Phase I of the Eurovea complex was developed by Ballymore Properties at the cost of €350 million and it opened after four years of construction in 2010. Eurovea Phase II will feature the first skyscraper Eurovea Tower in Slovakia with projected height of 168 meters and 46 floors above the ground with the whole investment estimated at approximately €300 million. Association Of International Marathons And Distance Races
The Association of International Marathons and Distance Races, also known as AIMS, is an association of the organisers of long-distance road running races. It was founded in 1982 at a meeting in London of marathon race directors. Its membership was extended in 1986 to include all road races. In June 2016, over 400 race organisations were members. Objectives According to its Articles of Association, AIMS's objectives are: # to foster and promote distance running throughout the world; # to work with the World Athletics on all matters relating to international road races, and; # to exchange information, knowledge and expertise among the members of the Association. Course measurement and world records AIMS works together with World Athletics to ensure that its road races are measured accurately.
