Braid Station
Braid is an elevated station on the Expo Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located near the intersect of Braid Street and Brunette Avenue in the Brunette Creek neighbourhood of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. Positioned near the Coquitlam border, the station is a major transfer point for bus routes serving the Tri-City area. History The station was built in 2002 as part of the original Millennium Line project. Before the first phase of the line was completed, a short spur from Columbia station was opened in eastern New Westminster, as a test track; Braid station was the temporary terminus of this spur until the line to Commercial–Broadway station was completed. In 2016, SkyTrain service was reconfigured in anticipation of the opening of the Evergreen Extension; as a result, the Millennium Line service was discontinued at Braid station. SkyTrain is the Medium-capacity rail system, medium-capacity rapid transit system in the Metro Vancouver Regional District, serving Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Evergreen Extension
The Evergreen Extension (previously known as the Evergreen Line) is a extension of the Millennium Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The extension runs from Lougheed Town Centre in Burnaby to Lafarge Lake–Douglas in Coquitlam and included six new SkyTrain stations and an upgraded existing station (Lougheed Town Centre) on the Millennium Line. It began operations on December 2, 2016. Since the extension opened, the Millennium Line has operated between VCC–Clark and Lafarge Lake–Douglas. 22nd Street is an elevated station on the Expo Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. It is located on 7th Avenue and 22nd Street in the Connaught Heights neighbourhood of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada.
