Bradley's Robot is an EP by Richard D. James under the alias Bradley Strider (referred to as Strider. B. on the label). The EP was pressed in 12" vinyl format and does not come in a picture sleeve, but rather is housed within a (folded) 92.4 x 121.9 cm glossy green print on silver RePhLeX poster. The following message is etched in the record's run-out groove, on Side A: "PYJAMAS". On 9 May 2015, a version of the second track on side A was posted on Richard's Soundcloud under the name "27 leaving home - bradley." Richard David James (born 18 August 1971), best known as Aphex Twin, is an Irish-born British musician, composer and DJ. He is known for his idiosyncratic work in electronic music, electronic styles such as techno, ambient music, ambient, and jungle music, jungle. Journalists from publications including ''Mixmag'', ''The New York Times'', ''NME'', ''Fact (UK magazine), Fact,'' ''Clash (magazine), Clash'' and ''The Guardian'' have called James one of the most influential or important artists in contemporary electronic music. Rephlex Records was a record label launched in 1991 in Cornwall by electronic musician Richard D. James (aka Aphex Twin) and Grant Wilson-Claridge. The label coined the term ''braindance'' to describe the output of Aphex Twin and fellow artists. History In 1989, Grant Wilson-Claridge met Richard D. James (a.k.a. Aphex Twin) DJing at The Bowgie, a club located just along the coast from Newquay, Cornwall. According to Wilson-Claridge, back in 1989, "the Bowgie was the best club ever...this was before Newquay turned into the Cornish Ibiza" and it was very difficult to hear new and interesting music. Wilson-Claridge and James used to DJ on alternate weeks. When he noticed that James was playing his own tapes rather than records, Wilson-Claridge suggested that they press up some records. ''Joyrex J9ii'' is an album by Richard D. James under the alias Caustic Window. The release is a 12" vinyl and has received more than one pressing. The title of this release is very similar to another Caustic Window release titled Joyrex J9i. All tracks were later re-released on the album ''Compilation''. A full, slower version of the drone track that can just about be heard in the mix of "The Garden of Linmiri" can be found on the '' Analogue Bubblebath 3'' CD release as track 11. ''On'' is the third EP by English electronic musician Aphex Twin, released on 15 November 1993 by Warp. ''On Remixes'', featuring remixes by James, Reload and μ-Ziq, was released on the same day. The single peaked at number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. Track listing The Sire Records (US) version of ''On'' contains only "On", "73-Yips", and "Xepha" with early fade-outs, followed by the Reload Mix of "On", and it is housed in an Ecopak case instead of the standard slimline jewel case in which the Warp (UK) release was packaged. The "D-Scape Mix", in actuality a remix of "D-Scape" from ''On'', features mostly harsh sucking noises. Music video The music video for the title track was directed by Jarvis Cocker and Martin Wallace, and features a stop-motion sequence filmed on a beach involving numerous props (including an old fashioned diving suit and a cardboard cutout of James), and images of the tide.
