Boys is the third album by Cleveland-based band Herzog, released by Exit Stencil Recordings on May 20, 2014 in the US and June 23 in the UK. The album was produced by Kevin McMahon, who the band discovered through his work with Titus Andronicus. Herzog (band)
Herzog is an indie rock band from Cleveland, Ohio formed in 2010. Their music has been described as "subtlety-free rock," and has been compared to Cloud Nothings, whose bassist, TJ Duke, formerly played in Herzog. The band's frontman, Nick Tolar, graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in 2000. They became well known when NPR chose the song "Silence" from their debut album Search as a song of the year in 2011. Their third album, ''Boys'', was released on May 20, 2014. Dan Price, the band's drummer, has said that its music resembles Weezer and the other '90's bands he and his bandmates grew up listening to. He has also said that ''Boys'' is the best representation of his band's sound yet. Gardiner, New York
Gardiner is a town in the south-central part of Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 5,610 at the 2020 census. History The first settlers in the region were Huguenots from France. Gardiner was created from parts of New Paltz, Rochester, and Denning by an act of the New York State Legislature on April 2, 1853. The first town meeting was on May 17, 1853. It was named for Lieutenant Governor Addison Gardiner. In 1925, a large fire destroyed a large part of Gardiner village. The Wallkill Valley Rail Trail begins in southern Gardiner and runs along the abandoned Wallkill Valley Railroad rail corridor to New Paltz. Majestic Park is off Farmer's Turnpike, and features a skate park, playground, gazebo, and covered picnic area as well as three barbecue grills. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". It was recorded more collaboratively than their debut album, Search, with Nick Tolar assisted by Tony Vorell, who wrote the album's lyrics. Titus Andronicus (band)
Titus Andronicus is an American indie rock band formed in Glen Rock, New Jersey, in 2005. The band is composed of singer-lyricist-guitarist Patrick Stickles, guitarist Liam Betson, bassist R.J. Gordon, and drummer Chris Wilson. The group takes its name from the Shakespeare play ''Titus Andronicus'', and has cited musical and stylistic influences such as Neutral Milk Hotel and Pulp.
