Boxing At The 2011 Pan American Games
Boxing competitions at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara will be held from October 21 to October 29 at the Expo Guadalajara Arena. Both the Bahamas and Barbados won their first ever Pan American boxing medals. Óscar Rafael Valdez Fierro Jr. (born 22 December 1990) is a Mexican professional boxer. He is a former two weight world champion, holding the WBC super featherweight title from 2021 to 2022, and the WBO featherweight title from 2016 to 2019. Valdez qualified for the 2008 Olympics at the age of 17 and became the first Mexican Youth World Champion. Four years later, he qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Óscar Molina Casillas (born January 2, 1990) is a former American amateur and professional boxer who qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics, representing Mexico. His twin brother, Javier, competed for the USA at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Career Molina was born in Commerce, California, a suburb east of Los Angeles. Carlos Banteux
Carlos Banteur Suárez (born October 13, 1986) is a Cuban amateur boxer from Santiago de Cuba best known for qualifying for the 2008 Olympics at welterweight. His name is sometimes misspelled Banteaux, Banteaur or Banteux by some sources outside Cuba. Career Banteur won the 64 kg World Junior Championships 2004, but struggled at senior level for years at junior welter even nationally. His best result was a second place in 2006 vs Inocente Fiss, in 2007 he again exited early. Career As an amateur, Knowles represented the Bahamas across various international competitions in the light welterweight division. Roniel Iglesias Sotolongo (born 14 August 1988) is a Cuban boxer, best known for winning the junior world title at lightweight in 2006, a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and a gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Robson Donato Conceição (born 25 October 1988) is a Brazilian professional boxer.
