Boxing At The 1992 Summer Olympics – Bantamweight
The men's bantamweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1992 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 54 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 28 July to 8 August 1992. 31 boxers from 31 nations competed. Devarajan Venkatesan
Venkatesan Devarajan (born 22 July 1973) is an Indian boxer and Olympian. He won the bronze medal in the 1994 World Boxing Championship in Bangkok. He was the first Indian boxer win the world cup boxing championship Medalist at foreign soil. He is from Chennai, India. He was awarded the Arjuna Award in 1995. He competed in the men's bantamweight event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Venkatesan Devarajan is known for his accomplishments both in and out of the boxing ring. In 1994, he achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Indian to win a World Cup medal on foreign soil. László Bognár
László Bognár (born February 24, 1968) is a Hungarian former professional boxer who fought in the featherweight to light welterweight divisions. As an amateur he represented his native country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He is a former WBU International featherweight, WBO Inter-Continental super featherweight, Hungarian and IBC lightweight champion. Fredrick "Fred" Muteweta (born November 4, 1971, in Kampala) is a retired boxer from Uganda, who represented his native country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea in the light-flyweight class.
