The men's lightweight event was part of the Boxing at the 1976 Summer Olympics, boxing programme at the 1976 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 60 kilograms to compete. Maurice Richard Arena
Maurice Richard Arena (french: Aréna Maurice-Richard) is a 4,750-seat multi-purpose arena at Olympic Park, Montreal, Olympic Park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was built in 1962. It is named in honour of Maurice Richard. The rink was renovated in 1994, the arena includes a multi-media exhibition on the life of the Montreal Canadiens great. Entrance to the arena is free and there is a souvenir shop onsite. Formerly home to the Montreal Rocket, the ice rink is also used for training by speed and figure skaters. Hans Henrik Palm (born 19 July 1956 in Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark) is a retired Danish boxer, who became European welterweight champion in 1982. Before turning professional he represented Denmark at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where he dropped a decision to world champion Vassily Solomin of the USSR.
