Borrisokane forest in County Tipperary extends from the R445 road (Ireland), R445 road northward to Portumna and from Lough Derg (Shannon), Lough Derg to the County Offaly border. The forest consists of several widely dispersed small areas of woodland centred on Borrisokane. County Tipperary ( ga, Contae Thiobraid Árann) is a county in Ireland. It is in the province of Munster and the Southern Region. Parkrun (stylised as parkrun) is a collection of events for walkers, runners and volunteers that take place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 23 countries across six continents. Cloghjordan
Cloughjordan, officially Cloghjordan ( , ), is a town in County Tipperary in Ireland. It is in the barony of Ormond Lower, and it is also a parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. The town is situated in the north-western part of Tipperary close to the border with County Offaly. It is almost equidistant from Nenagh, Roscrea and Birr and is close to Ireland's largest river, the Shannon, and Lough Derg. Poet and Easter Rising leader Thomas MacDonagh, a native of Cloughjordan, described it as a place "in calm of middle country". Cloghjordan has three Christian churches: one Roman Catholic (SS Michael and John's, built in 1898), Church of Ireland (St Kieran's, 1837) and Methodist (1875). Knockanacree (''Cnocán an Chraoi'' in Irish language, Irish) is a townland in the historical Barony (Ireland), Barony of Ormond Lower, County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The townland is located within the civil parish of Modreeny north of the town of Cloughjordan. Three areas within Knocknacree townland have been selected as the possible location for a Break Pressure Tank which is required for the proposed River Shannon to Dublin pipeline, pipeline to supply drinking water from Lough Derg (Shannon), Lough Derg to Dublin. Knocknacree Woods The townland includes a prominent wooded hill, originally the grounds of Knockanacree Wood House which was demolished during the Irish War of Independence. The woodland is now managed by Coillte as part of the Borrisokane Forest. There are walking trails leading through old beech wood to views of the surrounding area. R445 Road (Ireland)
The R445 road is a regional road in Ireland. The route is a non-motorway alternative route to the N7/ M7 motorway between Naas and Limerick, and at 170 km it is one of the longest regional roads in Ireland (longer than most national roads). Ballyquirk () is a townland in the Barony of Ormond Lower, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is located in the civil parish of Lorrha, north of Carrigahorig. Ballyquirk Castle, located in the townland, is a single storey over basement property with three bays and a rear tower. It is all that is left following alterations made in the nineteenth century to the original two storey over basement property which featured four towers. Ruins of an earlier castle stand nearby.
