Born Again (Warrant Album)
''Born Again'' is Warrant's seventh studio album released on June 27, 2006. The album features ex- Black N' Blue vocalist Jaime St. James who replaced Jani Lane in 2004. Lane left the band due to personal and business disagreements and thus, ''Born Again'' is the first Warrant album not to feature him on lead vocals. Production and marketing The album was produced by internationally acclaimed producer and engineer Pat Regan (Kiss, Deep Purple, Mr. Big, L.A. Guns) and also features the return of original members, lead guitarist Joey Allen and drummer Steven Sweet. The track "Bourbon County Line" was released as the album's lead single, followed by the second single "Dirty Jack". Reception The album received a generally positive reception, with reviewers praising the band's return to a traditional hard rock sound. Jani Lane
Jani Lane (born John Kennedy Oswald; February 1, 1964 – August 11, 2011) was an American singer and the lead vocalist, frontman, lyricist and main songwriter for the glam metal band Warrant. From Hollywood, California, the band experienced success from 1989 to 1996 with five albums reaching international sales of over 10 million. Lane left Warrant in 2004 and again in 2008 after a brief reunion. Lane also released a solo album, '' Back Down to One,'' in 2003, and the album '' Love the Sin, Hate the Sinner'' with a new group, Saints of the Underground, in 2008. Pat Regan (musician)
Patricia Ann Regan (5 September 1954 – 1 June 2008) was a British anti-gun activist and campaigner. She became an activist after the murder of her son Danny in 2002. Danny had become involved in drugs and was most likely the victim of a dealing dispute. She joined Mothers Against Violence after his death. She spoke at schools about the risks and repercussions of participating in crime and carrying guns when she was with the organization. She also took part in a march with more than 200 other activists. Jerry Dixon (musician)
Jerry Lawrence Dixon (born September 15, 1967) is an American musician, and one of the original members of the 1980s rock band Warrant. Dixon started playing the bass guitar at 13 years of age. His first bass was a used Sears model that he had purchased from a friend for $30. Dixon joined Warrant while still in high school (11th grade). Dixon has been influenced musically by Geezer Butler and Rudy Sarzo. Erik Turner (born March 31, 1964) is best known as the rhythm guitarist in American glam metal band Warrant. ''Dog Eat Dog'' is the third studio album by American rock band Warrant. It was released on August 25, 1992 on the Columbia label of Sony Music, and was their final album for the label. The album peaked at number 25 on The Billboard 200. It is also the last album to feature all five original members, as Joey Allen and Steven Sweet both left the band in 1994, but returned in 2004. Production and marketing Warrant began recording bass and drums for ''Dog Eat Dog'' in Los Angeles, California in February 1992. Overdubs were recorded at Morrisound Studios in Tampa, Florida, in March 1992. The record was mixed in at Scream Studios in Studio City, California in April 1992 with producer Michael Wagener. Steven Sweet (born Steven Chamberlin on October 29, 1965, in Wadsworth, Ohio, United States) is a Los Angeles-based drummer who is most famous for being a member of Warrant. Personal information Before joining Warrant he was in the glam metal band Plain Jane with Jani Lane. He lives with his wife Beth, a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon drama program and a musical artist in her own right. In addition to touring with the band Warrant, Steven divides his time between studio session work, songwriting and portrait painting. He has a daughter. Allen was born as Joseph Alan Cagle on June 23, 1964, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and grew up in Irvine, California. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements.
