''The Book of Nod'' is an epic poem written by Sam Chupp and Andrew Greenberg, published by White Wolf Publishing in 1993. Based on the tabletop role-playing game '' Vampire: The Masquerade'' and the ''World of Darkness'' series, it tells the creation myth of vampires, following Caine, the first vampire and the biblical first murderer. Overview The book is divided into three main sections: *The Chronicle of Caine: Outlining the events of Caine's exile, through to the great flood of the Bible. Sam Chupp
Sam Chupp is a tabletop game designer from the United States. Career Sam Chupp is the co-creator of the roleplaying games ''Wraith: the Oblivion'' (1994) and ''Changeling: The Dreaming'' (1995). Chupp was the Special Guest at the Marmalade Dog Gamefest II in 1995. He also wrote the religious biblical verse in the best-selling art book called the ''Book of Nod''. The Dark Ages
The ''Dark Ages'' is a term for the Early Middle Ages, or occasionally the entire Middle Ages, in Western Europe after the fall of the Western Roman Empire that characterises it as marked by economic, intellectual and cultural decline. The Rosetta Stone is a stele composed of granodiorite inscribed with three versions of a Rosetta Stone decree, decree issued in Memphis, Egypt, in 196 BC during the Ptolemaic dynasty on behalf of King Ptolemy V Epiphanes. The top and middle texts are in Egyptian language, Ancient Egyptian using Egyptian hieroglyphs, hieroglyphic and Demotic (Egyptian), Demotic scripts respectively, while the bottom is in Ancient Greek. The decree has only minor differences between the three versions, making the Rosetta Stone key to decipherment of ancient Egyptian scripts, deciphering the Egyptian scripts.
