Andrea Bonomi
Andrea Bonomi (; 14 February 1923 – 26 November 2003) was an Italian Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football), defender. Early life Born in Cassano d'Adda, Italy, when Bonomi was six years old, he fell in Adda River and was about to drown when a 10-year-old boy rescued him. Ironically, his rescuer was Valentino Mazzola, who went on to become one of the greatest Italian football players of all time, captaining the Grande Torino team of the 1940s, which would be killed in the Superga air disaster. Club career Bonomi was initially nicknamed ''Ciapin'' during his early career. He played for several Italian football clubs, but spent most of his career with A.C. Milan. Beniamino Bonomi (born 9 March 1968) is an Italian sprint canoeist who competed from the late 1980s to the mid-2000s (decade). Competing in five Summer Olympics, he won four medals with one gold (2000: K-2 1000 m) and three silvers ( 1996: K-1 1000 m, K-2 500 m; 2004: K-2 1000 m). Carlo Bonomi
Carlo Bonomi (12 March 1937 – 6 August 2022) was an Italian voice actor and clown who was best known for his voiceover work as the voice of Mr. Linea in the animated series '' La Linea'' as well as Pingu and various other characters in series 1-4 of the stop-motion children's television series of the same name. Career Bonomi voiced many characters for the Italian advertising show ''Carosello''. The language of noises he had developed and used for the earlier Osvaldo Cavandoli's '' La Linea'' from 1971 to 1986 was reinterpreted for the acclaimed TV series ''Pingu'' on SF DRS during its first four seasons produced between 1990 and 2000, where Bonomi voiced all the characters without a script. Ignatius Bonomi
Ignatius Bonomi (1787–1870) was an English architect and surveyor, with Italian origins by his father, strongly associated with Durham in north-east England. Life He was the son of an architect and draughtsman, Joseph Bonomi (1739–1808), who had worked with Robert and James Adam, while his brother Joseph Bonomi the Younger was a noted artist, sculptor and Egyptologist. Bonomi was Surveyor of Bridges for the County of Durham, and his works included the Skerne Bridge; one of the first railway bridges in Britain, over the River Skerne, near Darlington, for the Stockton and Darlington Railway, in 1824 (hence he is sometimes referred to as 'the first railway architect'). He was also responsible for a number of church buildings (including commissions at Durham Cathedral). Ivanoe Bonomi
Ivanoe Bonomi (18 October 1873 – 20 April 1951) was an Italian politician and journalist who served as Prime Minister of Italy from 1921 to 1922 and again from 1944 to 1945. Background and earlier career Ivanoe Bonomi was born in Mantua, Italy, in a bourgeois family. He studied natural sciences at the University of Bologna and graduated in 1896. After working for two years as a high school teacher he also completed a law degree in the same university. In 1893, influenced by the burgeoning cooperative movement, the spread of Marxist propaganda in the Mantuan countryside, and meetings with socialist leaders like Filippo Turati, Leonida Bissolati, and Anna Kuliscioff, he joined the Italian Socialist Party (at the time called Italian Socialist Workers' Party). Joseph Bonomi The Elder
Joseph Bonomi the Elder (19 January 17399 March 1808) was an Italian architect and draughtsman who spent most of his career in England where he became a successful designer of country houses. Biography He was born Giuseppe Bonomi in Rome on 19 January 1739. He was educated at the Collegio Romano and then studied architecture with Girolamo Teodoli. He made his early reputation in Rome before moving to London in 1767 at the invitation of Robert and James Adam, who employed him as a draughtsman from 1768. In his early years in England Bonomi also worked as an assistant to Thomas Leverton. He became a close friend of the painter Angelica Kauffman, whose cousin Rosa Florini he married in 1775. The next year he produced a design for a proposed sacristy for St Peter's in Rome, which may indicate that he visited his native city at around this time. Joseph Bonomi The Younger
Joseph Bonomi the Younger (9 October 1796 – 3 March 1878) was an English sculptor, artist, Egyptologist and museum curator. Early life Bonomi was born in London (Gunnis says Rome) into a family of architects. His father, Joseph Bonomi the Elder, had worked with Robert and James Adam, while his older brother, Ignatius Bonomi, was a notable architect of the early and mid-19th century. Bonomi studied under Charles Bell at the Royal Academy Schools from 1816 and won their Silver Medal in both 1817 and 1818, and was then the only pupil ever accepted by Joseph Nollekens during 1818/19. Nollekens and Bonomi became close friends. His first signed work (1819) also modestly describes himself as the pupil of Nollekens: this is the memorial in Calcutta Cathedral to Captain C L Showers killed with Lt Bagot and Lt Broughton at the action in Malown in 1815. Samuel Bonom (March 7, 1912 – December 15, 1962) was an American lawyer and politician from New York. Life Bonom was born on March 7, 1912, in Brooklyn, New York City. He attended Thomas Jefferson High School, New York University and Fordham Law School. He married Clarice Juliet Goldberg (1910-1998), and they had two children. He practiced law in New York City, and was an Assistant D.A. of Kings County. He was elected on February 7, 1956, to the New York State Assembly (Kings Co., 2nd D.), to fill the vacancy caused by the death of J. Sidney Levine.
