Balangir Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 21 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Odisha state in eastern India. Odisha
Odisha (English: , ), formerly Orissa ( the official name until 2011), is an Indian state located in Eastern India. It is the 8th largest state by area, and the 11th largest by population. Kantabanji
Kantabanji (KBJ) is a town and a notified area committee in Balangir district in the Indian state of Odisha. History In 1937, the railway track from Kantabanji to Vishakhapatnam was laid and since then train started running through this route. At that time no one was aware of Kantabanji. That time it was a small village under the Bangomunda police station a village near to Kantabanji. Rajendra Narayan Singh Deo who was the king of Patnagarh at that time. Sarat Pattanayak is an Indian politician hailing from Balangir in Odisha. He was elected to the 10th and 11th Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India as a member of Parliament of the Indian National Congress party. The Biju Janata Dal (; BJD) is an Indian regional political party with great influence in the state of Odisha. It was founded by the former minister of mines and minerals of the Republic of India Naveen Patnaik on 26 December 1997 as a breakaway faction from the Janata Dal. Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo
Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo (born 26 May 1974) is an Indian politician who was Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Bolangir and member and leader of the Biju Janata Dal political party. His father, Ananga Udaya Singh Deo, and his grandfather, Rajendra Narayan Singh Deo, were both politicians. Rajendra Narayan Singh Deo was Chief Minister of Odisha. Subarnapur District, also called Sonepur District or Sonapur District, is an administrative district in western Odisha state in eastern India. The town of Sonepur is the district headquarters. The Adivasi refers to inhabitants of Indian subcontinent, generally tribal people. The term is a Sanskrit word coined in the 1930s by political activists to give the tribal people an indigenous identity by claiming an indigenous origin.
