Compilation Album
A compilation album comprises Album#Tracks, tracks, which may be previously released or unreleased, usually from several separate recordings by either one or several Performing arts#Performers, performers. If by one artist, then generally the tracks were not originally intended for release together as a single work, but may be collected together as a greatest hits album or box set. If from several performers, there may be a theme, topic, time period, or genre which links the tracks, or they may have been intended for release as a single work—such as a tribute album. When the tracks are by the same recording artist, the album may be referred to as a retrospective album or an anthology. Indestructible (Robyn Song)
"Indestructible" is a song by Swedish recording artist Robyn, taken from her seventh studio album '' Body Talk'' (2010). The song was written by Robyn and Klas Åhlund, and produced by Åhlund. It was released as the lead single from ''Body Talk'' on 1 November 2010 in Sweden and one day later in the United States. The song was previously heard, in an acoustic form, as the final track on ''Body Talk Pt. 2'', released in September 2010. The song was one of the first to be recorded for the ''Body Talk'' series, but Robyn saved it for later to give it a chance of becoming a single. According to Robyn, "Indestructible" describes how meeting new people and falling in love can be scary and fun at the same time. The song is a synthpop ballad with string sounds, pulsing bass and an electronic arrangement. Peter Robinson is a British music journalist. He is the creator of the pop music-based blog Popjustice. Popjustice is a music website founded in 2000 by UK freelance music journalist Peter Robinson, who has worked for ''NME'', ''The Guardian'', ''Attitude'' and many others. It is composed of the work of editor Robinson, features editor Michael Cragg, and a host of contributors. The website seeks to celebrate commercial popular music and does this using humour, user interaction, and contacts within the music industry. Its writing style has been compared favourably by a number of critics to that of the now defunct ''Smash Hits'' magazine, in that it mixes a passion for pop music with a surreal and biting wit. ''Robyn'' is the fourth studio album by Swedish singer Robyn. It was originally released in 2005 in Sweden and Norway only by Konichiwa Records. It was later released in other territories throughout 2007 and 2008. The album represented a departure from Robyn's previous urban and R&B musical style, and explored synth-pop and dance-pop music, with inspirations from electronic duo The Knife and rock band Teddybears. It also marks Robyn's first album release on her own record label, Konichiwa Records, which she founded in 2005. The album debuted at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart in 2005, becoming Robyn's first-ever number-one album on the chart. Record Store Day is an annual event inaugurated in 2007 and held on one Saturday (typically the third) every April and every Black Friday in November to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store". The day brings together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores around the world. A number of records are pressed specifically for Record Store Day, with a list of releases for each country, and are only distributed to shops participating in the event.
