Bobby Reid (footballer, Born 1911)
Robert Reid (19 February 1911 – 16 November 1987) was a Scottish footballer who played at both professional and international levels as an outside left. His best remembered for his time in the Football League with Brentford, for whom he made 110 appearances. Reid earned the nickname ' The Flying Scotsman' for his performances down the wing for Hamilton Academical early in his career. Club career Reid began his career in his native Scotland with Hamilton Academical and played for the club in the 1935 Scottish Cup Final. He moved to England in January 1936 to reunite with friend David McCulloch at First Division club Brentford. A spell out following an appendicitis operation in 1936 allowed Les Smith into the team, with whom Reid would battle for a place through the rest of his Bees career. Bobby Reid (born December 13, 1985) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at Texas Southern University and Oklahoma State University. Reid played high school football at Galena Park North Shore High School in Houston, where he led his team to the Class 5A Division I Championship his senior year. He was named Houston Touchdown Club's Offensive Player of the Year, and was named the all-Greater Houston, all-district and the district's Most Valuable Player. High school Reid was one of the top quarterback prospects in the country when he started his senior year at North Shore Senior High School. He was a dual threat quarterback who led his team to an unbeaten championship season and the Class 5A Division I Championship. He ran for three touchdowns in the 23-7 championship win over The Woodlands, and threw a pass to set up a touchdown run. Bobby Armani Decordova-Reid (né Reid; born 2 February 1993) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Fulham. Born in England, he represents the Jamaica national team. Early and personal life Decordova-Reid was born in Bristol, England, and is of Jamaican descent. He grew up in the inner-city neighbourhood of Easton. Decordova-Reid is cousin to Anthony McNamee, a fellow footballer whose clubs include Watford and Norwich City. In October 2018 he changed his name to Bobby Decordova-Reid.
