Bobby Parker (footballer, Born 1891)
Robert Norris Parker (27 March 1891 – 1950) was a Scottish professional footballer whose position was centre forward. He played professionally in Scotland with Rangers and Morton and in England with Everton and Nottingham Forest during a career interrupted by World War I, in which he was seriously injured. He later served as manager of Fraserburgh in Scotland and Bohemians in Ireland. Playing career Born in Glasgow, Parker started his career with Junior team Ashfield, followed by three seasons at Rangers, during which he had a scoring record of a goal every game but was always a backup to the equally prolific Willie Reid; Rangers won the Scottish Football League title in each of those years, but it is unclear if Parker was awarded any medals, having only featured in 2, 3 and 9 of the fixtures respectively. Bobby Parker (16 February 1925 – 1 March 1997) was a Scottish footballer. Parker played for Partick Thistle and most notably for Hearts. Heart of Midlothian Parker was signed at the age of 22 by Hearts manager Davie McLean on 5 April 1947. He debuted the season after on 16 August 1947 in a 3-2 Scottish League Cup section game 3–2 defeat away to Airdrieonians Airdrieonians Football Club is a Scottish professional football team in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, who are members of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) and play in Scottish League One. They were formed in 2002 as Airdrie United .... His last first team appearance was that season on 23 November 1957 in a 2–1 defeat away to Clyde. After retiring as a player he joined the Hearts back room team coaching the reserves. He then joined the Heart's board of directors in which he also had a spell as chairman. Bobby Parker (born 11 November 1952) is an English former professional footballer. He played for Coventry City, Carlisle United and Queen of the South. He left Coventry City to join Carlisle United with whom he played for in their only season in England's top division along with Chris Balderstone, displacing Balderstone from central defence back into midfield. He then joined Dumfries club Queen of the South with whom he was part of Nobby Clark's side that won promotion to the then middle division of Scottish football in 1986. Robert Lee Parker (August 31, 1937 – October 31, 2013) was an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for his 1961 song " Watch Your Step", a single released by V-Tone record's. The song reached the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and was performed by, and influenced, rock bands such as the Beatles and Led Zeppelin among others. Biography Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, but raised in Los Angeles, California, Parker first aspired to a career in entertainment at a young age. By the 1950s, Parker had started working on electric guitar with several blues and R&B bands of the time, with his first stint being with Otis Williams and the Charms. Over the next few years, he also played lead guitar with Bo Diddley (including an appearance on ''The Ed Sullivan Show'') and toured with Paul Williams, Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, LaVern Baker, Clyde McPhatter, and the Everly Brothers.
