Bob Stevens (band)
Bob Stevens is a Swedish dansband established in 1958 in Scania, Sweden continuing until the late 1970s. The band was revived under new management in 1987 with new members. In the 1990s, the band released a number of albums that charted on the Svensktoppen chart. Famous singles from the period include "Ett litet under" and cover for "No more Bolero", with Mats Kärrlid on main vocals. After a brief stop in the mid-2000s, is "Bobbarna 're in the process of writing music, touring and recording discs. In 2010s, they returned with albums ''För bra för att va'sann'' (2012), ''Mitt skåne'' (2014) and ''Skåne är ett härligt land'' (2015) that all charted on Sverigetopplistan Sverigetopplistan (, lit. Dansband
(; "dance band"), or in Norwegian and Danish, is a Swedish term for a band that plays ("dance band music"). ' is often danced to in pairs. Jitterbug and foxtrot music are often included in this category. The music is primarily inspired by swing, schlager, country, jazz, and rock. The main influence for rock-oriented bands is the rock music of the 1950s and 1960s. The terms ' and ' were coined around 1970, when Swedish popular music developed a signature style. The genre developed primarily in Sweden, but has spread to neighbouring countries Norway, Denmark and the Swedish-speaking regions of Finland. When the music came to Norway it was first called "" (from the Swedish radio music chart Svensktoppen, which was a major arena for dansband music before its rules changed in January 2003). Svensktoppen
''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language. Svensktoppen has aired since 1962, except for the years 1982-1985. The last years before the January 2003 change, the programme was strongly dominated by dansband music. The first number one hit song was "Midnattstango" performed by Swedish crooner Lars Lönndahl. New rules on 17 January 2016, restricted the maximum length for a song to chart to one year. Sverigetopplistan
Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. History For the period of 1976 to 2006, the official Swedish music charts were published by Sveriges Radio P3, a station owned by Sveriges Radio. At the end of 2006, it stopped publishing the general charts, which were entrusted to Swedish Recording Industry Association in the beginning of 2007.
