Bob McDonald (Scottish Footballer)
Robert James McDonald (25 February 1895 – 1971) was a professional footballer who played for Inverness Caledonian, Tottenham Hotspur and Clapton Orient. Football career McDonald joined Spurs from Inverness Caledonian in 1919. Playing as a full back, he made a total of 125 appearances in all competitions in his time at White Hart Lane. The highlight of his Tottenham career was to be a member of the winning 1921 FA Cup Final team. Retrieved 12 February 2009 He moved to Clapton Orient in 1927 and went on to play a further 37 matches. Inverness
Inverness (; from the gd, Inbhir Nis , meaning "Mouth of the River Ness"; sco, Innerness) is a city in the Scottish Highlands. Leyton Orient Football Club is a professional football club based in Leyton, East London, England, who compete in , the fourth tier of the English football league system. They are the second oldest football club in London to play at a professional level, and are known to their fans by their nickname "the O's". The club's home colours are all red. They have played home matches at Brisbane Road since 1937, having previously played at Millfields and Lea Bridge Road. 1921 FA Cup Final
The 1921 FA Cup Final was contested by Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers, which at the time was a Football League Second Division club, at Stamford Bridge. Spurs won by a single goal, scored by Jimmy Dimmock, eight minutes into the second half. The cup was presented to Tottenham Hotspur by King George V. George Edmonds, who played on the losing side, was the last surviving player from the game. He died in December 1989 at the age of 96. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. First played during the 1871–72 season, it is the oldest national football competition in the world. It is organised by and named after The Football Association (The FA).
