Bob Martin (Australian Politician)
Robert Douglas Martin (born 7 December 1945) is a former Australian politician. He was the Labor Party member for Port Stephens in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1988 to 1999. Martin was born in Sydney to Douglas and Beryl, and attended McDonald Upper Primary School and Hurlestone Agricultural High School, graduating in 1962. He then attended Hawkesbury Agricultural College and graduated with a Diploma in Agriculture in 1965. He worked for the Department of Agriculture at Alstonville, Dareton and Bathurst, before moving to Griffith in 1969. On 11 January that year he married Margaret Eady from Murwillumbah, a primary school teacher. They had two children. He also joined the Labor Party. In 1970 he was employed with New South Wales State Fisheries, and managed the Port Stephens centre until 1988. In 1988, Martin was selected as the Labor candidate for the new seat of Port Stephens. Robert Martin (born December 8, 1962) is a television and musical theatre actor and writer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Career Theatre Martin began his career as an actor and director at The Second City in Toronto in 1996. He served as Second City Toronto's artistic director from 2003–2004. In 2005, he made his Broadway debut starring as “Man in Chair” in the musical ''The Drowsy Chaperone'', which he co-wrote with Don McKellar (book), and Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison (music and lyrics). He was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical and won the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical with Don McKellar. He reprised his role in London's West End production of ''The Drowsy Chaperone'', for which he received an Olivier nomination. Martin steered the publication from 1979 to 1986, during which slasher films were popular. Career A collaborative relationship with writer-director Frank Henenlotter resulted in a novelization Martin adapted from Henenlotter's feature film ''Brain Damage'' and two produced screenplays, '' Basket Case 3: The Progeny'' and ''Frankenhooker'', with Martin writing initial drafts from Henenlotter's detailed outlines. Stephen Donaldson (July 27, 1946 – July 18, 1996), born Robert Anthony Martin Jr and also known by the pseudonym Donny the Punk, was an American bisexual rights activist, and political activist. He is best known for his pioneering activism in LGBT rights and prison reform, and for his writing about punk rock and subculture. Bob Martin (January 18, 1942 - September 21, 2022) from Lowell, Massachusetts, was an American folk singer-songwriter. Biography While attending Suffolk University in Boston during the 1960s, he was influenced by the Cambridge folk scene and played at the Nameless Coffeehouse, Club 47 (now Club Passim), and other folk clubs. In 1972, he went to Nashville and recorded his first album, ''Midwest Farm Disaster''. In 1974, he became disillusioned with music and moved to a farm in West Virginia with his family. In 1982, he recorded his second album, ''Last Chance Rider''. He gave up music once again, this time for ten years, until the release of his third album in 1992.
