''Blue Roses'' is the debut studio album by American country music group Runaway June. It was released June 28, 2019 via Wheelhouse. " Buy My Own Drinks" was released as its debut single in August 2018 and reached the top 20 of the ''Billboard'' Country Airplay charts, making it the first time a female group or trio had done so in 14 years. Content ''Blue Roses'' was preceded by the release of three singles, though only "Buy My Own Drinks" ultimately made the tracklisting for the album. Three other songs originally featured on their self-titled EP were also reprised on the album, including a cover of Dwight Yoakam's "Fast as You." Of the 10 tracks on the album, members of Runaway June have writing credits on six, and it was produced by Dann Huff. Runaway June
Runaway June is an American country music group consisting of Stevie Woodward (lead vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica, autoharp), Jennifer Wayne (guitar, vocals), and Natalie Stovall (guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, vocals). Wayne co-founded the group in 2015 with Hannah Mulholland (mandolin, vocals) and Naomi Cooke (lead vocals). Wayne was a former member of Stealing Angels and had co-written singles for other singers prior to the group's foundation. Dan Dugmore is an American session musician known primarily for playing the pedal steel guitar Born in 1949, Dugmore was raised in Pasadena, California. Influenced by the Flying Burrito Brothers, he learned to play steel guitar after Flying Burrito Brothers member Sneaky Pete Kleinow sold him one. Dugmore then joined John Stewart's road band, and then Linda Ronstadt's; he also played for several James Taylor albums. Marcus Spencer Hummon (born December 28, 1960) is an American country music artist. He is the father of country singer Levi Hummon. Early life Hummon was born in Washington, D.C.. He graduated from Williams College. Career After several years of playing in various bands, he moved to Nashville where he was signed to a songwriting contract.
