Blovstrød is a small town and parish in Allerød Municipality, North Zealand, located some 30 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The town is situated on the east side of Lyngby Kongevej, approximately one kilometre east of Lillerød and Allerød station. Two new neighbourhoods, Ny Blovstrød and Teglværkskvarteret, are planned on the west side of Lyngby Kongevej. History Early history Blovstrød is first mentioned in 1265 as ''Blaustruth''. The first part of the name may be derived from the male name ''Blawæsti (Sorte-Væsti) while the suffix -rød means "clearing". The area was from the early Middle Ages crown land and in 1700 Blovstrød was one of the parishes that were placed under Hirschholm Palace which was given to Louise of Mecklenburg-Güstrow as her personal property by king Frederick IV. Allerød Municipality
Allerød Kommune is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') on the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. Sandholm
Sandholm is an estate in the parish of Blovstrød, Allerød Municipality some 30 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. History The Sandholm estate traces its history back to 1653 when Captain Christian Vendelboe constructed a house at the site. He served at Slotsholmen during the Assault on Copenhagen on 19–11 February 1769 and died in the first half of 1660. Sandholm was then passed on to his brother, brother, Markus Vendelbo, who was a captain in the same regiment. He was shortly thereafter sentenced to death by sword by a court martial but pardoned on condition that he left the country never to return. In 1661, Sandholm was ceded to Lorenz Tuxen, Bailiff of Hørsholm County. In 1680, Queen Downer Sophie Amalie granted Sandholm to her bodyguard Casper Eberhard Meyer with freedom from all taxes. Lyngby Kongevej
Secondary route 201 (Danish: Sekundærrute 201) is a numbered road in North Zealand to the north of Copenhagen, Denmark, consisting of Lyngby Omfartsvej, a motorway bypass avoiding Lyngby Hovedgade (Lyngby Main Street), and Kongevejen which links Kongens Lyngby in the south with Hillerød in the north by way of Holte, Birkerød and Blovstrød. The road originates in a royal road which was built in 1587 between Copenhagen and Frederiksborg Castle, Frederick II's new North Zealand residence. The southern part of the road has now been replaced by Lyngbyvej and the southernmost portion of Helsingør Motorway (before 2005. Lyngby Motorway). The Royal Life Guards ( da, Den Kongelige Livgarde) is a mechanized infantry regiment of the Danish Army, founded in 1658 by King Frederik III. The primary task is to provide a number of soldiers from the Guard Company to serve as a guard/ceremonial unit to the Danish monarchy, while training the Royal Guards for various functions in the mobilisation force. Netto () is a Danish discount supermarket operating in Denmark, Germany, Poland, and previously in Sweden and the United Kingdom both as a stand-alone venture, until its sale in May 2010 to Asda, and via a joint venture with Sainsbury's between June 2014 and July 2016. Hørsholm Kommune is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in the Copenhagen Capital Region in the northern part of the island of Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. Nordbanen
Nordbanen is one of six radial S-train lines in Copenhagen. It connects Copenhagen city center with several northern suburbs, and the cities of Hillerød, Birkerød and Allerød Stations Service patterns The weekday service consists of service A which stops at all stations until Holte, and E which runs with limited stops until Holte and then stops at all stations until Hillerød.
