Bloodlines (ITV Drama)
''Bloodlines'' is a two-episode British detective fiction thriller and a leading dramatic vehicle for Emma Pierson, who stars as rookie police officer Justine Hopkin. The series, produced by ITV Granada, Granada Television and directed by Philip Martin (director), Philip Martin, premiered on ITV (TV channel), ITV on 31 January 2005, at 9PM, with episode two airing on 1 February 2005, again at 9PM. Episodes one and two are each 90 minutes in length. Initially envisioned as returning series, ITV (TV network), ITV chose not to recommission ''Bloodlines'' after viewing figures fell well below the expected target. Plot After Elaine Hopkin (Jan Francis) is found dead, the victim of an apparent an OD suicide, her firstborn Mark (Kieran O'Brien) refuses to even inform his dad James (Kevin McNally), who is locked up for murder. Emma Jane Pierson (born 30 April 1981) is an English actress. Her appearances in television programmes include the role of Anna Thornton-Wilton in the BBC television drama '' Hotel Babylon'', and ''SunTrap'', '' Days Like These'', '' Beast'', ''I Saw You'', '' Charles II: The Power and The Passion'', ''The Worst Week of My Life'', '' Bloodlines'', ''Coupling'', ''Time Gentlemen Please'', ''Dead Boss'' and ''Killing Eve. Janet Stephanie Francis (born 5 August 1947) is an English actress. She appeared as Penny Warrender in the 1980s romantic comedy ''Just Good Friends''. Early life Francis was born at the former Charing Cross Hospital London. She is the eldest child of Frank Francis, a clerical officer with the Agricultural Society, and Marjorie (née Watling), an employment agent, who were married in 1944.
