''Blind Eye Sees All'' is a concert video by Butthole Surfers, which was released on VHS tape in 1985 through Touch and Go Video. The package included a 5" clear vinyl single-sided record with a different mix of their cover of The Guess Who song "American WomanThe single bore no label, titles, or credits, and came packaged between the paper insert of the clamshell case and the plastic sleeve for holding cover artwork, in such a way that the disc itself can be seen as the cornea of the eye featured on the original artwork. The video was re-released on DVD in 2002 by Music Video Distributors The bulk of the video features performances from two concerts at Traxx in Detroit, MI in February and March 1985, woven between rambling interviews with the band relaxing in bed. Butthole Surfers
Butthole Surfers are an American rock band formed in San Antonio, Texas, by singer Gibby Haynes and guitarist Paul Leary in 1981. The band has had numerous personnel changes, but its core lineup of Haynes, Leary, and drummer King Coffey has been consistent since 1983. Teresa Nervosa served as second drummer from 1983 to 1985, 1986 to 1989, and 2009. Sousaphone
The sousaphone ( ) is a brass instrument in the tuba family. Created around 1893 by J. W. Pepper at the direction of American bandleader John Philip Sousa (after whom the instrument was then named), it was designed to be easier to play than the concert tuba while standing or marching, as well as to carry the sound of the instrument above the heads of the band. Like the tuba, sound is produced by moving air past the lips, causing them to vibrate or "buzz" into a large cupped mouthpiece. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Teresa Taylor (born November 10, 1962), also known as Teresa Nervosa, is an American musician and actress. She is best known as being a drummer for the American punk band Butthole Surfers. Biography Taylor was born in Arlington, Texas. She began drumming by playing for various high school marching bands in Texas' Fort Worth and Austin areas. King Coffey
King Coffey (born Jeffrey Coffey; 1964) is an American drummer, known for being the drummer of the psychedelic/noise rock band Butthole Surfers. He began drumming in a Fort Worth hardcore punk band called The Hugh Beaumont Experience in high school. Around that same time, he also published a fanzine called ''Throbbing Cattle''. He saw the Butthole Surfers for the first time in 1982 at a time when Scott Matthews was their drummer. Coffey replaced him in 1983 and is still the band's official drummer. In 1990, Coffey founded the independent record label Trance Syndicate, and released records by primarily Texas-based artists, including his band Drain. In 1995, he co-founded the Emperor Jones record label with his husband Craig Stewart.
