''Blasphemers' Maledictions'' is the fifth studio album by Polish death metal band Azarath (band), Azarath. It was released on 29 June 2011 by Witching Hour Productions. The album was recorded between January, February and April 2011 at Hertz Studio in Białystok, Poland, and was produced by Zbigniew Robert Promiński, Zbigniew "Inferno" Promiński, Sławomir Wiesławski and Wojciech Wiesławski. The album was preceded by the 7-inch EP ''Holy Possession'', which was released on 10 April 2011. Track listing All music composed by Bart and Inferno. All lyrics written by Necrosodom. Azarath (band)
Azarath is a Polish death metal band from Tczew, formed in 1998. History Azarath was formed in October 1998 by Inferno, Bruno and D. The band then recorded their first demos, ''Traitors'' and ''Destroy Yourself''. After being joined by Bart and completing the lineup, the band then played many shows to support the demos and eventually wrote and recorded their debut album, ''Demon Seed'', in Hertz Studio. The album was met with positive reviews and good response, which got the band an invitation from Polish death metal band Vader to be a supporting act for Vader's Revelations Tour in 2002. In late August 2003, the band recorded their second album, '' Infernal Blasting'', in Hendrix Studio. Like the first album, it was met with a positive response from critics and fans. After the recording session for the album, D. left the band because of personal reasons. Blackened death metal (also known as black death metal) is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal that fuses elements of black metal and death metal. The genre emerged in early 1990s when black metal bands began incorporating elements of death metal and vice versa. The genre typically employs death growls, tremolo picking, blast beats, and Satanic lyrics and imagery. Bands of the genre typically employ corpse paint, which was adapted from black metal. Zbigniew Robert Promiński
Zbigniew Robert Promiński (born 30 December 1978 in Tczew), stage name Inferno, is a Polish heavy metal musician, best known as the drummer for extreme metal band Behemoth. He has also contributed to bands such as Azarath, Witchmaster, Damnation, Deus Mortem, Artrosis, Christ Agony, and Devilyn. Also, his endorsements include Paiste cymbals, Czarcie Kopyto pedals, Pearl drums, Evans Drumheads, and Vic Firth drumsticks. Inferno joined Behemoth in 1997. He left the group briefly in 1999 during the release of '' Satanica'', but returned in early 2000. On tracks "Slaying The Prophets ov Isa" and "Pazuzu" from ''The Apostasy'' he reached tempos of 270bpm in the studio. ''Shemhamforash'' reached 275bpm in studio.
