Blackball (The Offspring Song)
"I'll Be Waiting" is the first single by punk rock band the Offspring released in 1986. A re-recorded version of the song appeared as the tenth track on their self-titled debut album, which was released three years later. It was the band's first official release and is the only single issued by the band with original drummer James Lilja. Versions Several versions of "I'll Be Waiting" were released. One was released in 1986 as a 7" single, with "Blackball" as the b-side, and was the band's first official release. This single was reissued in 1994, following the Offspring's commercial success with their third studio album '' Smash''. A demo version of "I'll Be Waiting" (then-known as "Fire and Ice") was recorded for the band's demo '' 6 Songs'' earlier in July 1986. The Offspring
The Offspring is an American rock band from Garden Grove, California, formed in 1984. Originally formed under the name Manic Subsidal, the band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan "Dexter" Holland, lead guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman and bassist Todd Morse. Over the course of their -year career, The Offspring have released 10 studio albums and have also experienced a number of lineup changes, most notably with their drummer. Their longest-serving drummer was Ron Welty, who replaced original drummer James Lilja in 1987 and stayed with The Offspring for 16 years. Welty was replaced by Atom Willard in 2003, who was replaced four years later by Pete Parada, who remained as the drummer for The Offspring until 2021. Gregory "Greg K." Thom Wilson
Thom Wilson (died February 8, 2015) was an American punk rock record producer and engineer. Career Wilson began his musical career in the mid-1970s, engineering recordings by soft rock artists Burton Cummings and Seals & Crofts. He began working on punk rock albums in the early 1980s while producing the Adolescents' self-titled debut album (also known as ''The Blue Album''). Throughout his career, he would also produce and engineer albums for numerous artists, such as Dead Kennedys, T.S.O.L., D.O.A., Bad Religion, The Joykiller, Social Distortion, The Vandals, The Offspring, Christian Death, Automatic 7, Face to Face and The Bouncing Souls. Wilson produced The Offspring's first three albums ''The Offspring'' (1989), ''Ignition'' (1992) and their breakthrough '' Smash'' (1994). He also produced the band's 1991 7" EP ''Baghdad''. Greg K
Gregory David Kriesel (born January 20, 1965) is an American musician known as the bass guitarist and backing vocalist for the rock band the Offspring from 1984 to 2018. Biography Greg K. was one of the founding members of the Offspring alongside singer Dexter Holland. Prior to forming The Offspring, he was also on the track and field team at Pacifica High School, along with bandmate Holland, where he took up playing the bass guitar. Greg K. and Holland had been playing locally since the early 1980s and formed Manic Subsidal in 1983. After hiring Noodles as their new guitarist, Manic Subsidal changed their name to The Offspring in 1986. Noodles (musician)
Kevin John Wasserman (born February 4, 1963), better known by his stage name Noodles, is an American musician and singer who serves as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for The Offspring. Biography Kevin John Wasserman was born in Los Angeles, California. Before joining The Offspring, Noodles played in a local band called Clowns of Death. He was allegedly in The Offspring because he was the only person old enough to provide alcohol for the rest of the members. He earned the nickname "Noodles" for his frequent ''noodling'' on the guitar. At one of the band's earlier shows, he was stabbed in the shoulder by a skinhead. During the band's early days, Noodles worked as a janitor at Earl Warren Elementary School in Garden Grove. Carling Black Label is a lager distributed by Carling Brewing Company. History Although its original focus was on ale, Carling has brewed lager-style beers since the 1870s. In 1927, as part of a corporate re-branding under new president J. Innes Carling, the company renamed its Black & White Lager Black Label. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings.
