Black NASA
Black NASA is a New Jersey-based rock band, often placed in the stoner rock genre. They formed in the early 2000s in Long Branch, and were active while the guitarist in Kosnik's other band (The Atomic Bitchwax) was busy with Monster Magnet. The band has a heavy 70s feel. They have not been active since touring to support ''Deuce''. The band's name refers to NASA conspiracies in general, and is unrelated to the Old Negro Space Program. Duane Hutter and Corey Stubblefield have been playing a new band called 40 POUND HOUND since 2014. Slide Guitar
Slide guitar is a technique for playing the guitar that is often used in blues music. It involves playing a guitar while holding a hard object (a slide) against the strings, creating the opportunity for glissando effects and deep vibratos that reflect characteristics of the human singing voice. It typically involves playing the guitar in the traditional position (flat against the body) with the use of a slide fitted on one of the guitarist's fingers. The slide may be a metal or glass tube, such as the neck of a bottle. The term bottleneck was historically used to describe this type of playing. The strings are typically plucked (not strummed) while the slide is moved over the strings to change the pitch. Daysleeper (band)
Daysleeper was an Icelandic pop band formed in October 2001 by Sverrir Bergmann, along with Jón Svanur Sveinsson, Víðir "V" Vernharðsson, Brynjar Elefsen, Stefán Pétur Viðarsson and Ingólfur Árnason. They achieved nationwide popularity in Iceland in February 2002 when they won a listener's award from local radio station FM 957 for their song "Kumbh Mela"" from their debut album, ''EveAlice''. During the recording sessions for their second album, Elefsen, Viðarsson and Árnason departed and Helgi Svavar Helgason joined on drums. Dobro
Dobro is an American brand of resonator guitars, currently owned by Gibson and manufactured by its subsidiary Epiphone. The term "dobro" is also used as a generic term for any wood-bodied, single-cone resonator guitar. The Dobro was originally a guitar manufacturing company founded by the Dopyera brothers with the name "Dobro Manufacturing Company". Their guitar design, with a single outward-facing resonator cone, was introduced to compete with the patented inward-facing tricone and biscuit designs produced by the National String Instrument Corporation.
