Black Eagle Of Santa Fe
''Black Eagle of Santa Fe'' (german: Die Schwarzen Adler von Santa Fe) is a 1965 West German and Italian international co-production western film directed by Alberto Cardone and Ernst Hofbauer. Story Ranch workers disguised as soldiers murder Indians in order to stir up trouble with the whites so the rancher can claim their land. Plot Landowner Morton wants to expand his property because he knows about oil deposits under the Indian territory. Settlers also come to the area, as a peace treaty with the Comanches provides security. Disguised as soldiers, Morton has his men attack the Indians. Black Eagle, the chief of the Comanche, then digs up the hatchet. After a bloody raid, the village's surviving settlers seek shelter in the nearby fort of Captain Jackson and his men. Due to the peace treaty, however, the fort is undermanned and Jackson is unable to act. Alberto Cardone (1920–1977) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, second unit director and film editor of the 1960s. Cardone is best known for his Spaghetti Western films of the 1960s. Joseph Egger
Joseph Egger, also known as Josef Egger, (22 February 1889 – 29 August 1966) was an Austrian character actor who appeared in 76 films between 1935 and 1965. Biography The 18-year-old Egger started his stage career at the Leoben theatre. During the following decades, he also appeared at the Raimund Theater in Vienna and at the Deutsches Theater in Munich. Edith Hancke (; 14 October 1928 – 4 June 2015) was a German stage, film and television actress. Life and career Edith Hancke, daughter of a bank clerk, grew up in Berlin-Charlottenburg. She received an education at the Lettehaus and, at the age of 20, attended Marlise Ludwig's acting school at Wilmersdorfer Wilhelmsaue. She received her first engagements at Berlin theaters beginning in 1948. Werner Peters (7 July 1918 – 30 March 1971) was a German film actor. He appeared in 102 films between 1947 and 1971. Biography Peters was born in Werlitzsch, Kreis Delitzsch, Prussian Saxony, and died of a heart attack on a promotion tour for his latest film in Wiesbaden, Germany. Alexander Franklin James (January 10, 1843 – February 18, 1915) was a Confederate soldier and guerrilla; in the post-Civil War period, he was an outlaw. The older brother of outlaw Jesse James, Frank was also part of the James–Younger Gang.
