Björn Ola Marcus Johansson
Björn Ola Marcus Johansson (born July 16, 1979) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman. Johansson was born and grew up in Uppvidinge, Sweden, with Lenhovda IF as his youth team. He got to play with team Småland in the 1995 TV-pucken tournament. After two seasons with the senior Lenhovda team of the Swedish Division 3, Johansson signed with the Division 1 club Tingsryds AIF prior to the 1998–99 season. The club quickly promoted to the second tier league HockeyAllsvenskan (Swe-1), but after three seasons in the second tier, Tingsryd were relegated back to the third tier league Division 1 prior to the 2002–03 season due to financial problems. After nine seasons in Tingsryd, Johansson left the club and signed with Karlskrona HK of the Division 2 prior to the 2006–07 season. His defensive play helped Karlskrona promote to Division 1. Växjö ( ) is a city and the seat of Växjö Municipality, Kronoberg County, Sweden. It had 70,489 inhabitants (2019) out of a municipal population of 95,995 (2021). 2011–12 Elitserien Season
The 2011–12 Elitserien season was the 37th season of Elitserien. The regular season began on 13 September 2011 and ended on 6 March 2012. The following playoffs began on 10 March 2012 and ended on 19 April. Färjestad BK were the defending Swedish Champions. Brynäs IF won their first Swedish Championship title since 1999, as well as their 13th in history, after defeating Skellefteå AIK in six games. The regular season was won by Luleå HF, for the first time since 1996, while Djurgårdens IF and Timrå IK were forced to play in the 2012 Kvalserien for survival in the highest division. In Kvalserien, Timrå IK requalified and Rögle BK qualified for the 2012–13 Elitserien season at the expense of Djurgårdens IF. The Swedish Hockey League (officially SHL; sv, Svenska Hockeyligan) is a professional ice hockey league, and the highest division in the Swedish ice hockey system. The league currently consists of 14 teams. The league was founded in 1975, and while Swedish ice hockey champions have been crowned through various formats since 1922, the title and the Le Mat Trophy have been awarded to the winner of the SHL playoffs since the league's inaugural 1975–76 season. In the 2010–11 season, the SHL was the world's most evenly matched professional ice hockey league. During the 2011–12 season, the SHL was the most well attended ice hockey league in Europe, averaging 6,385 spectators per game, however in 2013–14, the SHL was third best in Europe, with an attendance average of 5,978. 2011 Kvalserien
The 2011 Kvalserien was the 37th Kvalserien, played between 14 March and 8 April 2011. Växjö Lakers Hockey and Modo Hockey, who finished 1st and 2nd respectively, qualified for the 2011–12 Elitserien season. Södertälje SK were relegated to HockeyAllsvenskan. Växjö were the best team in this year's Kvalserien, winning nine games and going undefeated in regulation time. Växjö had already secured their Elitserien spot after the 8th round (Kvalserien has 10 rounds), and thus the team's two following games were unimportant for them, but the team still won 4–2 at home against Rögle and 5–3 away against Mora. Växjö's 4–2 win against Rögle in the ninth round extinguished Rögle's chances of qualifying for the 2011–12 Elitserien season. Växjö finished with 26 points, which is a record in Kvalserien history. Division 2 is the fourth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 in 1987. It then had status as the official third level until 2005 but was replaced once again by the recreated Division 1 in 2006. Karlskrona HK is a Swedish ice hockey club located in Karlskrona, Sweden, established in 2001. They played three seasons in the top-tier Swedish Hockey League (SHL) between the 2015–16 and 2017–18 seasons. Their home arena is NKT Arena Karlskrona which has a capacity of 5,050 spectators. History Following an impressive 2014–15 season, Karlskrona HK qualified for the SHL, only 14 years after the club was established.
