Metin Erksan
İsmail Metin Erksan (1 January 1929 – 4 August 2012) was a Turkish people, Turkish film director and art historian. Biography Erksan was born in Çanakkale. Following his graduation from Pertevniyal High School in Istanbul, he studied art history at Istanbul University. Starting in 1947, he wrote in various newspapers and magazines on cinema. In 1952, he debuted in directing with the films ''Karanlık Dünya'' and ''Aşık Veysel’in Hayatı'' written by Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu. He directed two documentary films in 1954 with the title ''Büyük Menderes Vadisi''. Metin Erksan gained success with films depicting the problems of people from the countryside he adopted from the literature. ''Susuz Yaz'' won the Golden Bear Award in Berlin, Germany. Ayhan Işık
Ayhan Işık (born Ayhan Işıyan; 5 May 1929 – 16 June 1979) was one of the pioneers of Turkish cinema and actors in Turkey, and among the most famous Turkish leading actors in the 1950s and 1960s. Biography Ayhan Işık was born Ayhan Işıyan on 5 May 1929 in the Konak district of İzmir. He was the youngest of six children. He lost his father when he was just six years old. In his posthumously published memoirs, Işık described his father as follows: "The most significant thing I remember about him is the way he smelled. I loved his hugging me before I went to bed. Once he took me fishing and carried me on his back on our way home since I was exhausted. That is all I can remember about him. Türkan Şoray (; born 28 June 1945) is a Turkish actress, writer and film director of Circassian origin. She is known as "Sultan" of the Cinema of Turkey. She started her career in 1960, and won her first award as the most successful actress at the 1st Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for the movie '' Acı Hayat''. Having appeared in more than 222 films, Şoray has starred in the most feature films for a female actress worldwide. Ekrem Bora
Ekrem Bora (born Ekrem Şerif Uçak; 7 March 1934 – 1 April 2012) was a Turkish film actor. Biography After finishing school, he went to Sultanahmet State Printinghouse where he got a diploma in typesetting and binding. In 1953, he participated in and won the "Sinema Artist" competition held by Sezai Solelli's ''Yıldız'' (''Star'') magazine. Bora made his film debut in ''Alın Yazısı'' in 1955. After leaving acting for two years, he returned as the leading actor in ''Mavi Boncuk'' and went on to appear in nearly 150 films. He won the Golden Orange award for Best Actor twice; first in 1966 for his role in ''Sürtük'', and second in 1991 for ''Soğuktu Ve Yağmur Çiseliyordu''. Hilal Nebahat Çehre (; born 15 March 1945), is a Turkish actress, model, and singer who was crowned Miss Turkey 1960. She is best known for her protagonist roles as Firdevs Yöreoğlu on the Kanal D drama series '' Aşk-ı Memnu'' (2008–10) and as Hafsa Sultan on the series ''Muhteşem Yüzyıl'' (2011–12).
