Bita (footballer)
Silvio Lasso Lassalvia (11 August 1942 – 27 October 1992), better known as Bita, was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. Career Revealed by Náutico in 1962, Bita is considered the main player in the club's history, where he was six times state champion, top scorer three times in the Taça Brasil, and scoring 223 goals in 319 matches for the club. He had a quick spell at Nacional in 1967, and played for Santa Cruz from 1969 to 1972, being state champion in all these years again. Bita received the nickname "The Rifleman", and was compared to Pelé and Ademir da Guia as one of the main players in Brazilian football in the 1960s. Despite this, he never played for the Brazilian team. Bita Daryabari ( fa, بیتا دریاباری; born April 6, 1969, in Tehran) is an Iranian-American philanthropist, entrepreneur and computer scientist. She is the founder of several community organizations which focus on Persian immigrants in society and arts in the United States. Daryabari has provided financial assistance to various educational institutions for research on the Iranian studies in higher education, including endowments to Stanford, Pembroke College, U.C. Davis, and U.C. Berkeley. She has a named Chair at U.C. Davis in Persian Language and Literature and at U.C. Berkeley in Iranian Studies. Bita Lahrakhani Deinabli, better known as Bita Farrahi ( fa, بيتا فرهی , born 21 March 1958 in Tehran) is an Iranian actress. She is one of the most famous and internationally acclaimed actresses in Iran. Career Bita Farrahi studied art at John Powers’ School in the United States. Bita Fayyazi ( fa, بیتا فیاضی ) (born 1962 in Tehran) is an Iranian artist and pioneer in the field of Iranian public art projects. She is known for her theatrical, large-scale work. Fayyazi currently lives, works and teaches at a private studio in Tehran. Biography Fayyazi has 15 years work experience in the fields of ceramics and sculpture, with much of her work categorized as "dark ceramics" due to the subject matter. She lived in England for a period of 7 years and returned to Iran in 1980. She participated in the Iranian Pavilion at the 51st Venice Biennale in 2005 and has exhibited at, among others, Espace Louis Vuitton, Paris (2008 and 2010), the Museum of Modern Art in Freiburg (2007) and the Pergamon Museum, Berlin (2008). Bita Ghezelayagh
Bita Ghezelayagh (born 1966) is an Italian-born artist who lives and works in Tehran and London. Best known for her sculptural, felting work. Biography She was born in Florence and was brought up in Tehran. Ghezelayagh studied architecture at the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-La Villette. In 1994, she went to Tehran to work on a building restoration project for the Association of Iranian Calligraphers. She was also art director for three Iranian films. In 2003, she began studying the traditional craft of felt-making. She had her first solo exhibition in Tehran five years later. Bita Moghaddam is an Iranian-American neuroscientist and author. She is currently the Ruth Matarazzo Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience at Oregon Health & Science University. Moghaddam investigates the neuronal processes underlying emotion and cognition as a first step to designing strategies to treat and prevent brain illnesses. Wibuala Junior Bita Bueto (born 8 June 2005) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for Athletic Bilbao. Born to Equatoguinean parents exiled in Ivory Coast, he is a naturalised citizen of Spain. Lili Bita
Lili Bita, or Lili Bita Zaller, was a Greek-American author, poet, translator, artist and drama teacher. Biography Lili Bita was born on the island of Zante (Zakynthos). She graduated from the Greek Conservatory of Athens and the Athens School of Drama, and performed on the Athens stage and with leading Greek repertory companies. In 1957 she emigrated to the Federal Republic of West Germany, and in 1959 to the United States, becoming a naturalized citizen in 1969.
