Bishops' Conference Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The Bishops' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( hr, Biskupska Konferencija Bosne i Hercegovine) is the permanent assembly of Catholic bishops in Bosnia and Herzegovina founded in 1994 by the Holy See. The president of the Conference is elected among the bishops for a term of five years. Vinko Puljić, Archbishop of Vrhbosna, is the incumbent president of the Conference. The Episcopal Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a member of the Council of European Episcopal Conferences (CCEE). Current membership The membership of the BKBIH consists of all active and retired Latin Church Catholic and Eastern Catholic bishops of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Petar Palić
Petar Palić (born 3 July 1972) is a prelate of the Catholic Church who is currently the bishop of Mostar-Duvno and apostolic administrator of Trebinje-Mrkan since 2020. Palić descends from the Kosovo Croat family, being born in Pristina. After the graduation from the Faculty of Catholic Theology in Zagreb in 1995, Palić was ordained a priest in 1996 and held various pastoral and administrative posts in the Diocese of Dubrovnik. He was bishop of the Diocese of Hvar-Brač-Vis from 2018 to 2020. Early life Petar Palić was born into a Kosovo Croat family of Catholic faith in Pristina in communist Yugoslavia (present-day Kosovo). Bishop Milan Stipić (born 28 December 1978) is a Croatian Greek Catholic hierarch, who serves as Bishop of Greek Catholic Eparchy of Križevci since 8 September 2020. Pero Sudar (born 3 July 1951) was an auxiliary bishop of Vrhbosna in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Priesthood Sudar was ordained priest of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna on June 29, 1977. In 1977 he served as parochial vicar at Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Komušina near Teslić in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After that, he went to Rome where he received a doctorate in canon law at Pontifical Urbaniana University. After returning from Rome, he taught canon law at Vrhbosnian Theology and from 1989 to 1993 he held the office of Chancellor of The Archdiocesan Seminary in Sarajevo. Ratko Perić (born 2 February 1944) is a prelate of the Catholic Church who served as the bishop of Mostar-Duvno and apostolic administrator of Trebinje-Mrkan from 1993 until his retirement in 2020. After his retirement in July 2020, he briefly served as the apostolic administrator of both dioceses until the installment of his successor Petar Palić in September 2020.
