Demetrius Zvonimir ( hr, Dmitar Zvonimir, ; died 1089) was a King of Dalmatia and Croatia from 1076 until his death in 1089. He was crowned as king in Solin on 8 October 1076. Zvonimir also served as Ban of Croatia (1064–1074), and was named Duke of Croatia in around 1075. His native name was Zvonimir; he adopted the forename Demetrius at his coronation. Diva Grabovčeva (born in Rumboci (Prozor-Rama) – died c. 1680, Kedžara) was a Bosnian Roman Catholic virgin martyr. Biography According to the legend, she was born in the village of Rumboci in northern Herzegovina. She refused an Ottoman nobleman's marriage proposal, ran away from her home and hid in the Kedžara area. The young man found her and tried to rape her. She was fighting and he killed her. At the beginning of 20th century the archaeologist Ćiro Truhelka found mortal remains of a young girl in a grave associated with the legend and claimed that it was Diva Grabovčeva. Thompson (band)
Thompson is a Croatian ethno hard rock band, founded by songwriter and lead vocalist Marko Perković ("Thompson"), who is often identified with the band itself. The lineup consists of Tomislav Mandarić, Ivan Ivanković, Duje Ivić, and Ivica Bilić Ike. The band name originates from the Thompson submachine gun, a nickname given to Perković while he fought in the Croatian War of Independence. Although predominantly formed in Čavoglave, Thompson is currently based in Zagreb. The band came to prominence during the Croatian War of Independence with the release of their first single "Bojna Čavoglave".
