Billy Webb's Amazing Stories
''Billy Webb's Amazing Story'' is a 1991 CBBC series by Steve Attridge, continuing the story of Billy Webb, a character in the book the series was based on, ''Alfonso Bonzo'' by Andrew Davies. Plot Each episode begins with Billy recounting the strange happenings he has enountered to journalist Trevor Trotman. Billy has been having trouble with certain items he acquires from strange people, including pancake mixture that gives his whole class hiccups, a bike which flies, and a strange watch. Billy and Trevor soon discover the man is the same person, who appears every time he reads a certain book. They eventually find out how to stop him and, inevitably, get rid of him. The villain is played by a different actor in each episode. Brian Hall (actor)
Brian Charles Hall (20 November 1937 – 17 September 1997) was an English actor. He is best remembered for his role as hotel chef Terry Hughes in the British sitcom ''Fawlty Towers''. Career Hall played many hard-boiled tough guy Cockney roles: his role as the amiable chef Terry in ''Fawlty Towers'' was a casting against type. He played leading roles in police drama '' Softly, Softly: Taskforce'' (1971–72), crime drama '' McVicar'' (1980), and sitcom ''You Must Be The Husband'' (1987). He also had several guest-starring roles in '' The Professionals'', ''The Long Good Friday'', ''The Bill'', '' London's Burning'', '' The Sweeney'' and ''Minder'' in Series 1 episode ''You Gotta Have Friends''. Mike Walling
Mike Walling (8 July 1950 – 2 July 2020) was an English comic actor and screenwriter. Career Walling began his career as an English teacher at Holland Park School in London. In the mid-1970s, while still a teacher, he won a British TV talent contest, New Faces, with a comedy double act called "Mr Carline & Mr Walling." He immediately left teaching and embarked on launching his new career in comedy. When the comedy duo ended their partnership, Walling moved into situation comedy, appearing in several series—"Just Liz", "Bootle Saddles" and then the highly successful "Brush Strokes". He began starting to get more work as a screenwriter when he teamed up with Tony Millan. The two of them wrote screenplays for a number of different shows, as well as their own series. Alfonso Bonzo
''Alfonso Bonzo'' is a 1986 children's book by Andrew Davies and a 1990 children's short-lived television series adapted from the book by the author. The series starred Alex Jennings as Alfonso Bonzo and Scott Riley as Billy Webb. Billy Webb is a young boy who likes to swap things with his school mates. He meets Alfonso Bonzo, an "Italian exchange student" who also has a talent for swapping things (thus his self-description: he is an Italian student who exchanges things). ''The Boot Street Band'' was a BBC children comedy television programme which aired for two six-episode seasons in 1993–4. It was set in a school which appears to be run by the students, and was created by Andrew Davies and Steve Attridge. Steve Attridge wrote the second series and a book based on the idea. The Queen's Nose
''The Queen's Nose'' is a children's novel by Dick King-Smith, first published by Gollancz in 1983 with illustrations by Jill Bennett. Set in England, where King-Smith lived, it features a girl who can use a fifty pence coin to make wishes. When the book was reprinted in 1994, publishers HarperTrophy commissioned a new cover art illustrated by Michael Koelsch. The book was adapted into the 1995 TV series '' The Queen's Nose'', which was a great success and ran for 7 series.
