Billy Morgan (Gaelic Footballer)
William Morgan (born 2 February 1945) is an Irish former Gaelic football manager who played as goalkeeper at senior level for and, later, managed the Cork county team. His five-decade-long association with the team has led to him being regarded as one of the most iconic figures within Cork football. Born in Cork, Morgan was introduced to Gaelic games by his father, a native of Galway who had played hurling at junior level with the county. He came to prominence with Coláiste Chríost Rí before later winning back-to-back Sigerson Cup medals with University College Cork. A two-time All-Ireland medallist with the Nemo Rangers senior team, Morgan also won four Leinster medals and seven championship medals. Morgan made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of eighteen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team. William Henry Morgan (1878–1939) was an English footballer who played as a half back. Born in Barrow in Furness, Lancashire, the son of John Morgan and Mary (Lewis), he began his football career with Horwich F.C. In January 1897, he was sold to Newton Heath, making his debut appearance against Darwen on 2 March 1897. He was one of the team during the first season after Newton Heath became Manchester United. During his time with the club, he made 152 appearances (all in Division 2) and scored seven goals (six in Division 2 games, one in an FA Cup match). William Albert L. Morgan (3 November 1891 – after 1927) was an English professional footballer born in Old Hill, Cradley Heath, Staffordshire, who played either at outside left or inside left. He played for Birmingham, Coventry City and Crystal Palace in the Football League, and was capped once for a Football League representative side. Morgan's appearance for the Football League XI came in February 1919 against the Scottish League at his home ground of St Andrew's, Birmingham, in the first representative match played after the First World War. Billy Morgan (born 2 April 1989) is an English snowboarder, who won a big air Bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea Career Born in Southampton, England, he competed for Great Britain at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Morgan finished 10th in the men's slopestyle final. Morgan achieved his first podium finish in an FIS Snowboard World Cup event at the World Cup Finals meeting at Sierra Nevada, Spain in March 2013, where he finished third in the slopestyle competition. He finished the 2012-13 season ranked second in snowboard slopestyle in the FIS World Ranking List. Morgan has won three medals at FIS World Cup.
