Billy Miller (American Football)
Billy RoShawn Miller (born April 24, 1977) is a former American football tight end. He won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played college football at Southern California and wore no. 3. Miller has also played for the Houston Texans, for whom he scored the first touchdown in the Texans' history, and the Cleveland Browns in his career. Early years Billy attended Westlake High School in Westlake Village, California from 1991-95. He was the consensus prep All-America selection at Westlake High School. Miller hauled in 69 passes for 1,087 yards and 14 TDs as a senior, also two-year starter on Westlake’s basketball team, earning all-Marmonte league and all-Ventura County honors. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic.
