Bijan Azizi
Bijan Azizi is an Iranian Association football, football manager who managed in the Canadian Professional Soccer League (1998-2005), Canadian Professional Soccer League, and the Iran Pro League. Career Azizi managed the York Region Shooters (1998), York Region Shooters of the Canadian Professional Soccer League (1998-2005), Canadian Professional Soccer League in 2000. In 2011, he served as an assistant coach under Ali Asghar Modir Roosta for Shahrdari Tabriz F.C. in the Iran Pro League. After the firing of Modir Roosta, he was elevated to the position of head coach under an interim basis. After the relegation of Shahrdari to the Azadegan League he resigned from his position. York Region Shooters (1998)
The York Region Shooters were a soccer team playing in the Canadian Professional Soccer League from 1998–2002. They played their home matches in the town of Aurora, Ontario, north of Toronto. The franchise was one of the original teams of the CPSL. The team had its origins in the York Region Soccer League and were previously known as the York Region Stallions. During its five-year stint in the CPSL the club failed to secure a postseason berth, but managed to develop some top talent for the Canadian national team. In 2002, the York Region Shooters were sold by the Bisceglia family to Tony De Thomasis, and merged the club with the Vaughan Sun Devils in 2003. The Persian Gulf Pro League ( fa, لیگ برتر خلیج فارس, ''Lig-e Bartar-e Xalij-e Fârs''), formerly known as the Iran Pro League ( fa, links=no, لیگ برتر ایران, ''Lig-e bartar-e Irân''), is the highest division of professional football in Iran. Ali Asghar Modirrousta ( fa, علی اصغر مدیر روستا , born July 25, 1968) is a retired Iranian football striker and now coach. Modir Roosta is a former member of Iran national football team. He was also a Futsal player and appeared for Iran national futsal team at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 1992. The Azadegan League ( fa, ليگ آزادگان, ''Lig-e Âzâdegân''), also known as League 1 ( fa, لیگ یک, ''Lig-e Yek''), is the second highest division of professional football in Iran.
