Biggs (TV Channel)
Biggs is a Portuguese basic cable and satellite television targeted to children, teens and youth ages 8 to 14. It was launched on 1 December 2009 on the NOS platform. It airs live-action shows, films, anime and cartoon shows. It also used to air archived programs from Canal Panda. Its design is very similar to that of YTV and Disney XD. On 1 June 2021, it was launched another Portuguese TV channel targeted to children called Panda Kids. It airs almost mostly the anime and cartoon shows formerly aired on Biggs, including new ones and films, some formerly aired on Canal Panda. Initially it was supposed to be ther first Portuguese pop-up TV channel for children that is, but due to the increase of the channel's target audience ratings, Dreamia decided to make it as a regular and permanent channel like Biggs and Canal Panda. 576i is a standard-definition television, standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Because of its close association with the legacy color encoding systems, it is often referred to as PAL, PAL/SECAM or SECAM when compared to its 60 Hz (typically, see PAL-M) NTSC-colour-encoded counterpart, 480i. ''Angry Birds Stella'' is a Finnish computer-animated adventure television series based on the whole all-device mobile game '' Angry Birds: Slingshot Stella'' produced by Rovio Entertainment. The first episode, "A Fork in the Friendship", aired on Toons.TV on November 1, 2014. The series ended on March 11, 2016. ''Almost Naked Animals'' is a Canadian animated television series produced by 9 Story Entertainment for YTV. The series was created by Noah Z. Jones, who is also the creator of the Disney Channel animated series ''Fish Hooks''. It was based upon an art website that Jones created in 2005. The series premiered on January 7, 2011 on YTV and ended on May 22, 2013. Premise The cartoon is set inside a tropical resort called the Banana Cabana. YTV is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by YTV Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment. The channel and its programming is targeted at children and young teenagers; its name was originally thought to be an abbreviation for "Youth Television", though the channel's website has denied this. The channel was launched on September 1, 1988 by owners Rogers Media and CUC Broadcasting upon launch.
