''Big Brother Slovenija'' is the Slovenian version of the international reality television franchise '' Big Brother'' created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show was originally broadcast on Kanal A in 2007, 2008, 2015 and 2016. A celebrity season was aired in 2010 on POP TV. The show followed a number of contestants, known as housemates, who are isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom built house and trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run. Big Brother 2 ran for 92 days, starting on March 14, 2008, and ending on June 14, 2008. The host of the show was Nina Osenar. The prize was 92,000 Euro. This season the Big brother house was divided into two sides the rich side and the poor side. There were thirteen housemates who entered the house on day one and four who entered at later dates. As an added twist this season two of the contestants (Tamara and Tjasa) were related. Also, Mateja who entered the house in week six was the girlfriend of housemate EITyeb. ''Veliki Brat'' (lit: ''Big Brother'') is a Serbian version of the global reality show franchise '' Big Brother''. The show is recorded and produced in Belgrade by Emotion Production. Originally, the show began as a Serbian production with housemates from Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The third season also included housemates from Macedonia.
